Big thoughts:


Pros
-This was the best interpretation of Bane in any media outside of comics. It showed a Bane that was not only s physical match for Batman, but an intellectual and psychological match as well. I was a doubter on Tom Hardy's size from promo's and trailers. But in that one scene with him shirtless, he was ripped! Taking out the fact that they shot at angles that made him seem taller, he was still huge.

-I reserved any judgement on Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle up until this point. And aside from the costume, which I never got use to (although those ass shots didn't hurt), she did a good job. I thought she was dead sexy, for those who were debating that. And this Catwoman is very close to the comic version, which is always a good thing.

-They did the ending perfectly, giving it closure and openness at the same time.

-I loved the story, from the Knightfall and No Man's Land adaptions to the twist of Talia and Bane's past.

-Stuff that was great but not needed to be explained because they are good in all 3 movies: action, fighting, music, cinematography, set design, etc...



Cons

-Bane's voice was still a bit hard to understand at some times. When he was was personal and doing one=on-one, he sounded great. But in public speaking, like with the stadium and the streets, he kind of fell short and sounded weird to me.
-The movie tried to put a lot of stuff in and as a result got clustered
-Too much bad CGI. I know Nolan always tries to minimize the CGI but in the cases where it was needed, like the Batwing or with the Batcycle rolling, it looked kind of bad.
-The "Real name is Robin" stuff. It should of been Dick Grayson. Having his actual name being Robin just sounds weird.


Overall it was an awesome movie but didn't beat out The Dark Knight.

Ok, I haven't seen the movie yet. I live in Puerto Rico, and I have to wait another week. I need to know, how the hell does Batman get his back broken, yet still fights and runs, and walks for the rest of the film..This is bugging the shit out of me, I have to know.

So his back is not broken then?? That does make more sense to be honest. I wouldn't make sense for Batman to get his back broken, yet be able to fight and stuff...I can't wait to see this movie though.

I watched it this mrning and thought it was good, though I would have preffered just having the shot of Alfred nodding at the camera to end it rather than actually showing us that Bruce is still alive, though I can understand they put that in for people who are a bit slow.

The fight in the sewers was cool, though I wish Bane could have had a better final fight (Also he should have been blown to pieces by the BatPod if it can destroy a wall of cars.)

My understanding of it was that he doesn't actually get his back broken; it's more like he got a vertebrae dislocated...that way, Nolan still gets to include that awesome "breaking the bat" imagery without having Batman spend months in traction. Anybody else get that impression?

Bruce spends close to 5 months in the Pit.

My only gripe is how they glossed over Bruce getting from the Pit to Gotham without any money and in only a matter of days.

On Bane's voice I found it to get more clearer the louder he spoke, I couldnt understabd a word of his speech to Daggart except for the "I am Gotham's Reckoning" line.

a better Batman film then The Dark Knight is impossible to achieve... I went to a Batman marathon wihich eventually showed Rises at the end. I had chills the whole movie from beginning till end.

now Nolan should begin a Robin solo movie franchise

the ending was satisfying enough for me.

overall a great movie that outrunned Begins by far but it could not beat The Dark Knight.

That would of been better but it also served the purpose of showing what happened to Selina Kyle. So I find it acceptable.


Sad thing for me is, Bane never really stole the show like Joker. But maybe it is because Joker set the bar too high?
