Just to try and work things in, here.

Avengers Thanos stinger leads to this (I assume, and not Avengers 2).
Mid-credits scene in this leads to Thor 2?
Thor 2 stinger leads to Avengers 2?

I can't work out how to fit in a Captain America or Ant-Man nod in any of these films, only because Cap and Ant-Man are not really the cosmic style.

Has it been confirmed Thanos is the villain here?

- Maybe Thor 2 stinger has Red Skull in Dark World, which leads to...
- Captain America (somehow). Stinger here somehow (maybe something to do with AI or robots, or that big prison place that's nae escapes me) leads to...
- Ant-Man, who makes Ultron to guard prisoners, stinger has Ultron going bad, which leads to...
- Avengers 2!

Just that Thanos seems, to me, to be too big for a side movie, but not big enough to warrant two films with him as the big bad (lest he is 'The Dragon' to a bigger-bad, as Loki was).

I'll dig up more info, but apparently Marvel is looking at James Gunn to direct this. His previous works are.... pfffffshwa? He's written a lot of stuff.

But eh, out of the three potentials that are rumored, I'd rather it go to Gunn. He has a fondness to write horror-comedies (loved Slither and Dawn of the Dead remake) and he's not afraid to go into some dark humor (I <3 "Tromeo & Juliet"; not a fan of "Super" though, but it was alright). Seems a good mesh to work with Joss Whedon. Plus, it seems destiny since both Whedon and Gunn have both worked with Nathan Fillion and I want Fillion to be included in the Marvel Universe goddammit.

This is the first casting, but there's been some rumors lately I've been seeing, particularly for Rocket Racoon. Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler's name have been floating around (GOD NO!) to voice the character. Brian Michael Bendis has been saying in interviews he'd like Jason Statham to voice the character. Been thinking Rocket Racoon should be voiced by a British or Aussie actor, and to me, Statham wouldn't be so bad. The character needs to sound badass. Sandler and Carrey wouldn't be, unless Disney/Marvel wants people to laugh at this movie.

I've also been hearing rumors of Jon H. Benjamin voicing Rocket Raccoon. That would be pretty awesome as well.

I'd love for him to sound like Archer the whole time.
