Does he absolutely stamp it out? No. But then I NEVER SAID THAT. I did SAY that he manipulates and controls. Well I certainly didn't want to put words in your mouth. What I got from your post was a Bruce Wayne who was almost an omniscient warden of Gotham, which would be ridiculous. I see we're actually on the same page about the character. So you think Christian Bale would make a good Human torch? I have to disagree... -------------------

	Obviously someone needs to go research the character better and read Kingdom Come. And you're the one who implied Bale needs to be the Human Torch. And no, we're not on the same page about the character, as it seems I'm allowing that other interpretations of the character do and rightfully exist along with them having value to them... and have done so since 1939 instead of hero worshipping the Nolan interpretation as the be all and end all when that's hardly the case. ------------------- Books&Lit Comics Transformers: The Movie Gundam Collectibles

	Managed to snag two seats to the Chicago IMAX midnight premiere. $40 when it's all said and done. Sheesh...but worth it, to me. Can't wait.

	Sigh. My theater is doing a marathon of the trilogy on it's IMAX screen that leads into TDKR. Since I'm not paying for that, I had to settle for my midnight showing on a standard screen. No not at all, I'm against In Nolan We trust, he gets more credit than he should, etc. I really should read 'Kingdom Come', though I understand that the Batman in these films is not the world's greatest detective that he is in those stories you referenced, and he probably never will be in "Nolan's" universe of these three films. My current opninion of it is that I think this film will be putting an end to Bruce Wayne's career as Batman, rather than allude to him becoming a more 'advanced' Batman. -------------------

	Other than having great knowledge of all of the ones on that list, and through flicking through some of them, I've only properly read Year One, Dark Knight Returns, Arkham Asylum and The Killing Joke! It astounds me how much of a fan I am of Batman, and yet I still haven't managed to read even half of the ones on that list... -------------------
