Disney•Pixar announced two new films at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California today:

"Untitled Pixar Movie That Takes You Inside The Mind"

This is set to be Pete Docter’s (director of Monsters, Inc. and Up) next film (it is being co-directed by Ronnie del Carmen). While it is in a very early stage, Docter gave us a few tidbits about the film’s premise. He said that Pixar loves to explore new worlds, so he was excited to work on this new movie that explores the inside of one’s mind. The question he posed to the audience – "What is going on in people’s heads?" – serves as the driving force on what the film will be about. It is set to hit in 2014 (likely May 30, 2014).

Imagine some Random Joe (keep picturing Linguini from Rataouille) will be walking around, doing every day stuff, but then the main characters will be these tiny little people/creatures that live in his brain and are what makes him (and all humans) function. Should be interesting.

It was Osmosis Jones that immediately sprung to my mind, too.

Sounds interesting.

This one sounds like it's on the path of an inevitable canning

For some reason I kinda get reminded to the Cranium Command attraction at Disney's Epcot.



Might not be the same, or maybe it's based off from it, but When talking about someone's mind, in what's going on in it, I get reminded to this.

Project finally has a name: Inside Out
(Brief Synopsis) told from the perspective of the emotions inside the mind of a little girl.



That's the first bit of concept art to be released. Wonder if the entire film will be presented like that, where we see this little girl interact with the world around her, while simultaneously seeing how she pictures everything going on around her with these characters in her head. lol.
