What Should I Watch Tonight? / At the Movies with Bergin and Celes

I'd be really surprised if this wasn't a thread already, but I couldn't find it and I'm stuck.

Thanks for the responses! They've made me a fair bit more enthusiastic about watching The Social Network than I had been. I'll go with that for tonight.

Also, for anyone who has seen Intolerable Cruelty, is it any good? I only showed an interest as it's a Cohen Brothers film and I love just about every one of their films (think Fargo, Barton Fink, O Brother, Where Art Thou, True Grit). But I don't usually go for anything labelled as a romantic comedy.

I'll +1 for Layer Cake eventually. It's modern and entertaining, can't go wrong.

I thought Intolerable Cruelty was a lot of fun. It still has a Coens sheen even if it's a little silly. Probably the closest cousin to Burn After Reading.

You've never seen Brazil? Forget Social Network, watch that instead.

Anyone's who's seen both will know why I'm right.

Make Tootsie next on your list. Absolutely hilarious film, Dustin Hoffman is brilliant as usual.

I ended up going with The Social Network and found it to be a really entertaining film. It's amazing that they could make founding a website such a dramatic (and occasionally funny) experience. Some great acting and genuinely engaging characters. You really did feel for Eduardo (and in a way, Zuckerberg) at the end.

Tonight I think I'll go with A Clockwork Orange or Brazil. I don't know why I still have Indiana Jones on the list. I watched the first one, twice, and didn't enjoy it much at all. Given that that's the fan favourite I can't see myself enjoying the following two and especially the fourth. I'll definitely get around to watching all of the classics on that list, though. Some of the newer films like Deja vu or Jarhead, I might give a miss, unless someone can convince me otherwise.
