Twilight making about 72 of those millions on Friday alone. I'm glad it's not the record setting behemoth of even its earlier installments, though it could be more comparable to Deathly Hallows pt1, with fans turning out more for the absolute conclusion next summer. Even if that gross comes close to Deathly Hallows pt2, the meager three or four years this has been going will never touch HP.

WAIT why is there Happy Feet hate? Happy Feet is rad, man!

Breaking Dawn part 2 will undoubtedly cap more for the conclusion and for the fact it's the film where something actually interesting happens (or: nearly does), but the Twilight hype here that was persevering a couple years ago is pretty much completely flat now. I still imagine a good turnout but nothing near Deathly Hallows p.2 where literally everyone I knew, my age, saw it opening weekend. I don't know what it's like with you guys though.

Hugo is literally being carried on name alone. Won't do good. Whatever Arthur is I imagine will sum up the opinion of everyone else too; I imagine they'll be working hard just for double digits.

Really hoping The Muppets does well. Really looking forward to it loving both the Muppets and Segel. Something pessimist in me sees it not holding so strong commercially, but we're coming up for Thanksgiving/Christmas and it's pretty much the only good choice.

I actually really want to see Hugo more than Muppets now, and I'm not sure how

Still haven't heard a single thing about Arthur.

I did a double take when I saw this last weekend so blank, especially considering how stacked the last two weeks of December look. It would not have been hard for something to swoop in and topple Twilight on its third weekend.

This week. Oy. New Years Eve looks stupid as hell, I hope everyone who goes to see it has the worst year of their lives in 2012 for buying into that trash. All I've seen about The Sitter is Jonah Hill's face on a poster without even the title or any other details. Apparently the movie has Sam Rockwell in it? The director also did Pineapple Express. Tentative future rental or something.
