A list of deleted scenes reportedly on the upcoming Blu-ray suggest 14 scenes running roughly 35 minutes are on the disc, including 15 minutes of footage from the third act of the film. Thanks to Bleeding Cool for this list, which they report comes from the British Board of Film Classification. The first two seems potentially revealing, but pretty self-explanatory, but something called “Paradise” taking place after the “Final Battle” sets off a huge red flag. Does that mean David and Shaw actually make it to the Engineer planet? That seems like the most obvious five minutes to go at the very end of the movie, right? -------------------

	That's actually some refreshing news. That IS good news, if it actually answers the questions that I have. Because at the end of the movie, I was completely underwhelmed and left wanting what was actually promised to me: an answer to the question "why?". 	Why do the Engineers do what they do? Why did they create us? Why do they want us dead? Why in such a horrifying way? Why did the one guy kill Weyland? Why do they seemingly do this to every species out there? 	There won't be a sequel to this movie because Alien is the sequel. This movie was a (failed) attempt to elaborate on the Engineers, and while I thought it was a great movie by itself, it adds nothing interesting to the Alien universe, and left me more confused than if I had just seen the Engineer exoskeleton from the original movie. I don't understand most of the complaints for this movie, though. It never tried to be a 2001 Space Odyssey or some genre-changing movie, it was just Scott being stupid and trying to cash in on a prequel. He thought he had the talent to get all philosophical on our asses, but he was wrong. What he ended up making was a good suspenseful sci-fi thriller, but not a classic. ------------------- Express yourself

	A sequel has already been confirmed. You have the same delusion that many people had, that this was a prequel to Alien. It was never meant to be and I don't know how many times Scott or Abrams said it. 	I'm sorry, I guess the final scene in the movie was just a "delusion" of mine. I'm not sure why people who get the scoop on interviews and commentaries feel like they have to ride a high horse when talking to the casual movie-goer, but all I did was watch the movie, and that final scene couldn't have been more obvious. ------------------- Express yourself

	Assuming you mean the Xenomorph, how does that automatically mean that it leads into Alien? It really means nothing that an early form of a Xeno is seen, other than the speculations of whether the Black Goo is responsible for creating the Xenomorph chain of species since the creatures in the film (snake thing and squid) all have facehugger features. Not riding a high horse, I just paid attention to the movie. If you honestly believed that Alien is a direct sequel to this, and not just a separate series entirely, the writers and director did a horrible job.
