Plot Summary: Will Ferrell stars as Park Ranger Rick Marshall, sucked into one time vortex and spat back through time. Way back. Now, Marshall has no weapons, few skills and questionable smarts to survive in an alternate universe full of marauding dinosaurs and fantastic creatures from beyond our world - a place of spectacular sights and super-scaled comedy known as the Land of the Lost.
Sucked alongside him for the adventure are crack-smart research assistant Holly (Anna Friel) and a redneck survivalist (Danny McBride) named Will. Chased by T-Rex and stalked by painfully slow reptiles known as Sleestaks, Marshall, Will and Holly must rely on their only ally - a primate called Chaka (Jorma Taccone) to navigate out of the hybrid dimension. Escape from this routine expedition gone awry and they’re heroes. Get stuck, and they'll be permanent refugees in the Land of the Lost.

Danny McBride kills me, and I always love a Will Farrell flick. Although I never did sit through Semi-Pro. This looks like a must. Almost has that Tim Allen in Galaxy Quest feel to it.
Oh man, I just tuned into the Sci-Fi channel and they're having an all day Memorial Day marathon of Land of the Lost the original series that aired in the 70's. This show is so unbelievably bad in a good way that I now want to see the movie coming out next week just to see if it can be intentionally funnier than the series.
I loved watching this show as a kid. it wouldn't appeal to me much other then for sentimental reasons. The movie will probably be a lot more different. It will be Jurassic park part 4.

I watched some of that marathon yesterday, ridiculously corny show, but still sort of fun. I still don't think this movie looks very funny.
Its an old show, way before computer graphics. I saw the trailer for this movie and it might be alright. Looks like a comedy. Definitely worth checking out. I am going to be disappointed if the original theme is not sung, at least while the end credits are rolling. Some of the words were, "...on a routine expedition, met a strange earthquake ever known, high upon the rapids, this tiny little raft, plunged itself a thousand feet below.. in the la..aaand of the lost." They could beef up the song with heavy metal music.

this looks like a good Will Ferrel movie for once. he hasnt done anything good since Anchorman, comedy wise. Stranger Than Fiction was superb however. but anyway this is the first one of his films that ive actually wanted to see since like i said, Anchorman. i watched his other stuff begrudgingly such as Talladega Nightshit which was just pathetic. i love the Matt Lauer can suck it line!!
That one where he was living with his step brother was suppose to be utter crap! I am not such a big fan anyway. But that can change. I wasn't of Micky Rourke until now. I wasn't of that guy out of the mothman prophecies until I saw that movie. Or that guy out of water world. Sorry I just can't remember their names right now. But you know what I mean. I might like Will Ferrel if this movie is good.
