Veronika Decides to Die

Plot: The story centers on Veronika, a woman in her mid twenties who appears to have everything: good looks, good job and a great life ahead of her. Yet she decides to end her own life. She is unsuccessful and awakens in a mental hospital where she learns that she has five days to live. We learn that the reason that she attempted suicide was that she felt so constrained by the rules and expectations of 'normal' society that she had concluded that she had experienced all that life had to offer. However in the hospital she meets people who are only 'insane' because they don't always follow society's rules. With little left to lose, Veronika embarks on a journey on which she frees herself to experience relationships and emotions and ultimately discovers what it means to live.

I can't wait for this to come out. I'm a huge Sarah Michelle Gellar fan and the story sounds good.

Alot of Sarah Michelle Geller's movies (and TV shows) seem to involve her spending time in some sort of hospital or mental institution.


It sounds okay. I might consider watching it.

This movie looks completely stupid. What a snoozer of a trailer.

Although, I'm waiting for PL to come in here and claim it'll be movie of the year.

What a crock ZL. Just because someone is dying doesn't mean they all of a sudden will want to live life to the fullest. A lot of people would become depressed and dejected by that knowledge and wouldn't take any steps towards living a fuller life.

Not exactly true, a closer proximity to death brings a closer proximity to life. Yeah some people would become depressed or might stop from living a fuller life but generally speaking, when faced with death or a near death experience, most people feel more alive.
