In partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment, MGM will bring new installments of two of its tentpole franchises -- the new James Bond movie QUANTUM OF SOLACE and Steve Martin in PINK PANTHER 2. MGM will also release United Artists' international thriller VALKYRIE, starring Tom Cruise on October 3. With the appointment of Parent, MGM will enter its new phase of evolution by focusing on its major movie franchises highlighted by JAMES BOND and PINK PANTHER sequels, THE HOBBIT, THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR 2, THE OUTER LIMITS, ROBOCOP, DEATH WISH and FAME, among others. Reported by aicn, taken from a press release given by MGM. Remake? Sequel? Who knows? All I know is, it's probably going to suck. 	They could make a new Deathwish movie and call it... "jodie foster is still available for acting services" (or The Brave One). Outerlimits: tits! I picked up Robocop (trilogy) before christmas and I've yet to watch it, only seen excerpts so I'm not one to judge on whether or not it should be remade.

	The first is awesome i really like it, the other two were pretty shitty but still ok in their own way, probably due to the first being good it forced me to like the two lesser sequels, a remake could be done but it would have to be done carefully, the charm of the original was thanks to very limited use of CGI. -------------------

	Robocop wasn't really that big though. It's not up there with other films like the Terminator trilogy. -------------------

	Because it was violent and bloody. They graphically depicted Murphy's death, And they riddled an office worker with bullets. Then there was the rapist that took a shot to the groin and most of the other deaths caused by explosions. Even by todays standards it wouldn't get less than an R. 	So then you haven't actually seen the movie? Yes I mean gore. As I said Murphy's death early in the movie was depicted in the most graphic way allowed by the special effects of the day. They actually show his hand getting blown apart by a shot gun. On top of that the movie probably has a body count of 30 or more. 	Not to mention he won't find any enjoyment in Robocop 3 since they bumped it down to a PG-13. Or even Robocop 2 which was still an R but they toned it down quite a bit by comparison. The movies really did have a pretty decent story. But frankly I don't think it would have gone quite as far without the violence and gore, as 3 sadly shows. I know what the whole movie was about before i asked here i just wanted to know whether it had any Gore seeing as it was rated R. I like movies like Robocop when the rating get's bumped up but Bloodrayne is just GAY! -------------------

	Says here that Darren Aronofsky is directing. Which probably means something to folk that saw Requiem for a Dream, I've only seen The Fountain however so all I've got is confusion.
