I can't wait for this film, now more than ever I want to see it...Ledger's final performance, and a damn great one, too (judging from the trailers, of course).

R.I.P. Heath Ledger.

Oh man this movie looks awesome. I like the way the new joker looks. The old one looked like some dude with powder on his face, but this guy looks deformed. Damn i can't wait.

re: The Dark Knight

yeah, replacing Joker with a different actor for the 3rd film just wouldn't be a good idea IMO. Sounds like he'd have A LOT to live up to and most likely they would fall miserably short of Ledger's performance (even though we have yet to see it).

the movie is going to have a permanent dark shadow associated with it now, sadly.

re: The Dark Knight

I've been more hyped for The Dark Knight than any other movie in my lifetime, and for the first time in 2 years I'm not really excited to see the Batman Begins sequel. Heath's passing on Tuesday has really bummed me out.

Indeed. I think it caught everyone and their mom off guard. Hope they will find out the cause of death. Supposedly 13 days left before the final results.

Okay, so no real updates when it comes to the movie. All post promotional advertisements were completed already. I wonder if his death will incur any rewriting to any upcoming ideas or concepts for the third (or fourth or fifth) installment with The Joker (or Joker cameo appearances). I guess if they were willing to use a replacement actor for the character Rachel Dawes, then perhaps they may make the decision to do the same with this twisted iconic character.

Might be a hard sell, but a replacement for the joker isn't the end of the world. I'm pretty sure Ledger will do a good job I just find it comical that people are saying he is already better than Jack's version and he's the end of all as it pertains to the character. No one has seen the movie, I don't know one possible actor I could see trying his hand at the role is Ben Foster.

Batman has plenty of villains they could choose from in other installments, I just don't think they should never entertain the idea of using his most notorious rival again.

re: The Dark Knight

True, but if they want to keep a consistency like in the DC Universe, they want to at least cameo some villains that may not be apart of the plot. Like perhaps an interrogation of one captured villain for any information on one that is on the lose? Surely would spark interests of the viewers.

re: The Dark Knight

I don't think Heath's Joker can simply be recast like Katie Holmes was. It would be disrespectful, and I simply wouldn't want to see anyone else play the Joker in Nolan's universe - Heath IS Nolan's Joker. Any role Joker had in the 3rd film (if Nolan decides to do one) will have to be scrapped.

re: The Dark Knight

I agree, the Joker should be done with in this series. Regardless of how good the preformance is, nobody can replace Heath's version and nobody could come in and try to play it the same way.

I can't believe the cost of the posters shot up so quick. If theyre even in stock they cost over $85. Ridiculous in my opinion.

I dunno if this has anything to do with anything, but I'll say it anyway. After seeing Helena Bonham-Carter portray the psychotic Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd, I have decided she would make the perfect Harely Quinn.

Discuss.

Well... She pretty much kicks ass in every movie she's in so... Why not?

Did anybody see the 6 minute clip from the movie that was leaked online? it was suppose to be the opening scene of the movie with Joker depicting a bank heist. it was pretty *bleep*in sweet, but the vid has been deleted
