What would life be like without movies? - Page 2

Kokoro and I have noticed that you guys are making these threads in all the Lounge forums. What's going on...?

Anyway without movies, we would suffer from a lot of things. We couldn't have fun or any of that stuff. We would all suffer for a very long time.

Me too..

1) If there had never been such a thing as a movie (or TV), we would not miss them. Things would be like they were before we had films. We would probably be a much more well-read society, and more of us would be able to play a musical instrument, and play it well...that's what people used to do for entertainment. People would go to plays instead.

2) If movies (and TV) were banned somehow, there would be a huge underground resistance...people would sell old movies on the black market, there would be "moviehouse speakeasies" where people would secretly go to watch films, and there would be a whole new movement of underground filmmakers, secretly making new films. This scenario sounds sort of similar to elements of the movie Equilibrium (set in a future where anything that causes strong emotion in people has been banned; art, music, books, film, anything). Great film if you haven't seen it.

TLA would be useless.
