It doesn't look like this is coming out of Pixar (site and trailer logos are all Disney) but the future ads might change up (from the writer/director of Finding Nemo, etc) if they think it'll help business. I miss the old title John Carter of Mars and thought the teaser was decent. From the looks of the multiple settings there's a lot more than any 1:40 clip can convey. I trust Stanton, he doesn't play around with his projects. The two Pixar films he's primarily credited for are the biggest in scope and my favorite non-TS3 entries.

I liked the trailer a lot. Music was great. But my first impression was that this will bomb like Prince of Persia.

I love how you start talking about Batman for an entire paragraph, The Living Angelus. Has nothing to do with anything. I went into the trailer fairly excited for something groundbreaking, which is obviously going to be my perception with how much you Pixar nuthuggers hype everything from the company, and I came away less than impressed. The Batman bit was an example of how different teaser trailers work, but naturally, being the complete *bleep*ing retard that you are, you missed the point of it. And once again, of course the teaser didn't blow you away. Didn't captivate me either. All it gave me was a sense of how the film will look. Full length trailer will sell me on the story and either "blow me away" or make me go "meh; pass".

That's all that I stated when I said don't judge it from your original post and wait for the full-length, until you came back "huuur, teaser trailers, lolololol, that's not a teaser trailer. full-length trailer wont make a difference, durrrr" to which I quickly pointed out the differences in Avatar's teaser and full-length trailer.

oh right i forgot about Doom. talk about your Best Picture movies.

He just looks really bland

The more I see about this the less it resembles the sort of movie I want to see. Imagery looks occasionally akin to Cowboys&Aliens or even Sucker Punch... too many motifs thrown together to make sense of anything. Still have too much faith in Stanton to back out completely though.

Success seems likely, if brief in a crowded March '12. If "Immortals" can surpass expectations with an R-rating and an unknown cast, this will surely benefit from Disney's push and lazy comparisons to Star Wars/Avatar.
