Who else thinks Nic Cage's career has been filled with shit recently?
Sure he's had good films, wild at heart for example. But the crap he's turned out in the last two or three years...

His only best films were NOT National Treasure and Ghost Rider. National Treasure, I'll give you because they are enjoyable, and it's the only film Nic Cage has starred in a sequel for. But Ghost Rider? Even my hard-on for anything Marvel can't blind me for the crap that film was. It's too bad most of the budget was spent on Ghost Rider himself. If the budget was a little bigger, and Mark Steven Johnson wasn't directing, the film could have been dark, edgy and had some really cool battles. The ones we got were pathetic, and MSJ tried turning Ghost Rider into this heroic superhero, which he's not.

You look at Nic Cage's career, and by far, those two (three including National Treasure 2) are not his best. Face/Off, The Rock, Raising Arizona, Valley Girl, Peggy Sue Got Married, Wild At Heart, Honeymoon in Vegas, Leaving Las Vegas (a great *bleep*ing movie, probably one of his best) are better than National Treasure and certainly Ghost Rider. Hell, I'd even go as far as to say his films Fire Birds, Snake Eyes and The Family Man are better than Ghost Rider.

His only decent films? Please. Go rent the ones mentioned, preferably bolded. Now.

Yes because Ghost Rider (playing a demon) looked exactly the same as Next (playing a guy who sees the future) which looked exactly the same as National Treasure 2 (playing an archeologist) which looked exactly the same as World Trade Center (playing a police officer) which looked exactly the same as The Weather Man (playing a depressed news anchor). Wow you say some stupid shit sometimes.

I'll check out Bangkok Dangerous even though it has very little to do with the original sans an apprentice called Kong and a deaf mute girlfriend getting traded up, word has it it's none too bad. (PANG!!!).

Hating on Cage is racist to people with creepy foreheads and high sideburn lines everywhere.

Watch the ones I mentioned on the previous page and tell me Nic Cage doesn't have depth as an actor... Just because his latter choices have been, questionable (The Wicker Man remake, good God...), doesn't mean he plays one and the same. You can use that same line for practically any actor, acclaimed or not. Orlando Bloom does the same pouty, confused expression in all of his films to get the girls off. LOTR, Troy, Pirates, Kingdom of Heaven... all the same. People say the same excuse for Keanu Reeves, he doesn't have depth as an actor and all of his performances are the same. You find me someone else would could play Neo in the Matrix. Will Smith? *bleep*ing please!

You wanna-be critics are judging Cage on a few wrong choice roles in the past couple of years rather than looking at his career as a whole.

Nobody could act well in the Matrix because it had possibly the worst dialog I've ever seen in a movie. However, that doesn't exclude Keanu from being a bad actor. Watch When the World Stood Still trailer and TRY and think of Keanu as a good actor.

Not interested in any of these films. Righteous Kill and Burn After Reading, definitely when it comes out on DVD, but I just don't have the enthusiasm to see it in theaters at this time.

Wow you're a *bleep*ing idiot. I picked out all of his last movies. The only ones I didn't comment on were Wicker Man (considering I haven't seen it) and The Ant Bully. But other than that, those are all his last films. And fine, let's see what he did in those films: one being a paranormal horror movie, and the other an animated family film. So nice going, HOLMES. Didn't I read in some other thread you're going to stop being a dipshit? That sure lasted long.
