While it seems like a majority of the footage in this brand new Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch footage has been shown before in previous trailers, like the E3 one, there's no argument it's still charming as can be. The new gamescom trailer focuses mainly on in-engine and animated cinematics, neglecting to include any gameplay yet again.
The trailer focuses on the tyrannical White Witch and her servant, whom she orders to squash the kingdom's hope and defeat "the boy." The boy, however, has his magic book and friends, not to even mention his determination and strength of heart. I'd love see a wider look at the fantasy world of Ni no Kuni, or the apparently quite dramatic circumstances between the boy and his Mother that lead to the events of the game.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is still months away from its January 22, 2013 release date, however, so all we'll receive are teasers of the RPG for the time being. As a PS3 exclusive developed by Level-5 there's a lot of expectations it has to live up to, and they wouldn't want to let the cat out of the bag too early.
