Get one from the top known brands, examples would be stuff like Sandisk or Lexar. Because the 3DS has a slow SD card reader, you don't necessarily need anything beyond a Class 2 SD card. However, they're writing speeds are horrible, and if you believe you're going to be backing up this badboy all the time, then you're gonna want to get something in the Class 10 range with at least 20 MB/s of writing speed.

If none of that made sense to you, I'd recommend this, this, or this for 32 GB SD Cards. I can vouch for the Sony one, Pikachu can tell you about the Lexar one, and my brother can vouch for the Sandisk one.

I read some customer reviews on a few memory cards from eBay and customers were saying the memory card went out within a few days. That's why I said I don't know which are safe or unsafe.

I wouldn't worry about that as long as you bought it from an official retailer like Amazon or a local electronics store. Just make sure that you format the card to FAT32 to avoid any issues with the 3DS.

I didn't even notice the irony until one of you guys mentioned it. I've always known Sony for their other electronics that they make, instead of the PS series.
