	I don't see why we need it. We aren't trying to promote activity and publicize the forum. The game isn't close to release and I find it a bit pointless to attempt to build activity right now. Newcomers to this game will come close to release, so not until then will things like this "hook" members to stay (which I don't necessarily always think they do...) The game serves no purpose other than adding ppd. Which we don't need right now. The community is composed of members who are series fans from Neoseeker who won't abandon the forum, and we have no reason to promote with the release so far away. =\ my two cents. I don't find forum games all that necessary, especially this early.

	Well, I know that, haha, but I think things like this are better served down the line. I just think doing all this now will burn the forum out into games and not the news-related discussions like its been really good at doing lately.

	People come to a forum to have fun and interact with each other. Technical aspects such as those that you mentioned are not as important as how much fun the community is having, regardless of the time. All of the AC forums have been big in the past; I see no reason as to why this one will be any different. If you're that concerned about when the forum will have the most activity, rest assured it will pick up when the game is released. And anyway, it's one game. Brad won't allow the forum to be flooded with them just like he shot down the idea of an Off-Topic GD a while back. Just because a game thread may be created does not mean we will stop posting as we are. -------------------

	Well, I think a game thread is a good idea. It will encourage members to continue visiting the forum. Not saying it will make a major impact on the activity but it is just another thread to visit while waiting for more news for the game. Not like we can do very much in the meantime. I don't see the problem with having a game thread in the forum even if there isn't a release date Justin. There is a lot of Animal Crossing fans out there and some are looking for an active Animal Crossing forum to join. Our forum here has been going in spurts of activity and having a game thread will help to keep the current members posting(hopefully outside of the game thread as well or I can shut it down) and gives them more of a reason to join. If this forum was dead and they saw it, then they have no reason to join now and possibly in the future when the game is closer to being released. This forum won't be burning through a bunch of games as long as I have the power over this forum. As Fluidity mentioned in an earlier post, I'm not a fan of game threads myself(though I don't hate them unless it's a Hurt and Heal), I do allow the forums to have them if asked. I feel a forum should only have 2 game threads at least but that also depends on the activity of the forum as well. If the forum is small like this one, then one is fine enough. But if the forum was 100+PPD then a second game could be nice to have as long as the focus of the forum remains on discussing the game and not the game thread itself. ------------------- When You Go Astray, I'll Be There To Punch You Back!

Because members can spend the next 7+ months discussing pictures written in another language? Lately is the key word in all of this. Can't expect these "news" releases to become constant, as the release of the Wii U and holiday games will most likely shove this game into the cellar media wise for the time being.This game is pretty far off into the future, after a while "wow! That looks interesting! Can't wait for this game! Right guys?! " simply will not cut it. Coming from someone who hates game threads, I still think this is a good idea for a forum quite a ways off from seeing not only a specific release date, but seeing a solid amount of news (in english). When this game actually gets released, there will be multiple threads based on news/trading/help/etc. We don't have that luxury at the moment. I don't usually participate in most except hurt and heals (I'm in Big Brother and stuff right now too), but I would probably play this one because there's nothing else to talk about except news. Like Virtue said, the pictures in Japanese and videos won't cut it. All we do is say "OH THAT LOOKS COOL" for a couple of posts, and the forum is a bit dead for a little bit (except the GD) until a new scan in JAPANESE comes out. Or a new video comes out showing stuff too. The gaming thread will bring activity and will bring us even closer together, I don't see how that's a problem. One game thread isn't going to ruin the forum. You don't even have to play either, I know people don't have to agree with it, but damn lol. I saw what the game was, and I think it can be Animal Crossing related easily.
