Now without this dragging on, let's dive in right away! The Skulltula is an enemy that has appeared in many Zelda games. In OoT, it appears as a giant spider with a hard shell on its back. The shell, however, is carved in the shape of a skull. This thus warns Link not to approach it. Skulltulas normally like to hang from the ceiling, but when Link approaches, it violently rushes down in order to block Link's path. This suggests that they are very territorial creatures. Skulltula come in many different varieties: the hanging type and the wall type. The very first Skulltula Link meets is a wall type, known as a Skullwalltula. These also prove territorial by crawling on walls and charging Link if he attempts to climb it. Big Skulltulas are hanging types, only to appear bigger than the ordinary version. But perhaps the most interesting of all types of Skulltula, is the Gold Skulltula. These are wall types, and are apparently cursed spiders. What do you think of these? An interesting thing to note about the hanging type is that their only weakness is their soft belly. Their protective skull shell always tends to face Link. This can perfectly tank all of Link's attacks (excluding some of Link's weapons). However, a Skulltula has a habit of turning around to purposely expose its weak spot. Why do you think it does this? If it didn't, Link would have no chance at killing these when he first meets them in The Great Deku Tree. So what do you think about the Skulltula? Do you wish they didn't constantly expose their weak spot? Did they cause any trouble for you at all? Did you ever think the skull shell was actually their real face? Talk about anything Skulltula! Note: This is my first time writing one of these. I'm very much welcoming your opinion and suggestions to help me make these Unofficial Enemy of the Week threads better. Thank you.

	That was a very accurate description of Skulltulas, sir. I really liked it. One thing I'd like to know is why the cursed Skulltulas in the house in Kakariko village have blinking eyes on their backs. It's just weird. Also, why are there only 100 Gold Skulltulas in existence and why hasn't anyone else been cursed by them? ------------------- "Reality is a lovely place, but I would hate to live there."

	Nice to see the first thread up. The Skulltulas in the House of Skulltula are people rather than actual Skulltulas so that explains why they retain some of their human features in their spider form since they're cursed and all. As for the number of Gold Skulltulas I'll say the crucial point is that it's convenient, haha. Another notable thing to mention is that the Skulltulas in the House of Skulltula are not killed when they are hit with Link's sword. They only stun. And who put the curse on them in the first place? I doubt the Royal Family had the magic to curse them like that. Perhaps Ganondorf wanted their money, and cursed them because they wouldn't give it to him. Like he done to get the spiritual stones.

	Very true. Link has to be careful when he attacks. If he gets too close when he swings his sword, he's going flying. Still despite the Skulltula's size next to Link, I'm surprised it doesn't take many hearts off of him. On a scale from 1 to 10, how much would you guys rate the Skulltula? I'm going to give 7/10. It is a simple concept but I don't think OoT would be the same without them.

	About 6-7/10. Not a favourite enemy but I like them and the red eyes and whatnot. ^^ Certainly a lot more than the SS versions which are just a royal pain. I think it comes down to whether you've played before or not.
