Zelda’s ‘Guess that, Goron!’ Game III

1. Overview

Welcome to the Ocarina of Time 3D version of the classic 20 Questions game: Zelda’s ‘Guess that, Goron!’. Each round will be run by the previous round’s winning Goron who gets to take the role of Zelda. Choosing anything that exists within the game and keeping it secret, it’s up to everyone else playing the Gorons to try and guess what subject they’ve picked. The Gorons have a maximum of twenty questions with which to try and work out what it is that Zelda is thinking about. The Goron who wins the round may then take up the role of Zelda, and so the cycle continues.

Normally, this is a game that would occur in real time with everyone in the one place. Since this is an adaption of the game in order to work in the online forum setting, please ensure you read and understand everything below about how the game will work. If you have any questions, queries or feedback, please feel free to post them.

2. Rules and Guidelines

- A maximum of four questions may be asked by the Gorons per round of questioning. They must wait for a response by Zelda before the next four may be asked

- Please try to number your question in its order from 1 to 20 to make things easier for everyone

- A Goron may only ask one question per every available four that Zelda is asked so as to give everyone a fair go

- Gorons must ensure that their question is closed ended, being clear and allowing for a simple “yes” or “no” response

- Gorons may make one guess following each response by Zelda (making for a possible total of five guesses per game per person) and then must wait until they find out whether they were correct or not by waiting for Zelda’s response before being able to make another

- Gorons may discuss their ideas with each other in the thread as to what it might be in a collective effort to beat Zelda, but remember that it’s your aim to try and become the next Zelda!

- Zelda should respond to the Gorons within a polite time frame (twenty-four hours or so) of four questions being asked

- If Zelda does not respond to the Gorons within a decent length of time, then the position will be announced as open and the first Goron to post and state they’ll take the next round will take up the role of Zelda

- Zelda must ensure to give a clear "yes" or "no" response that runs in line with the context of the game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D in order to allow this game thread to run smoothly and fairly. Answers cannot pertain to a "what if" scenario; only pure facts existing within the title

- If a Goron guesses correctly, Zelda will make an announcement in their next response and that Goron may then become Zelda and establish the next round, effectively ending the current round

- Once all questions have been asked and answered, and assuming no one has yet made a correct guess, the Gorons have a final chance to make their guesses before Zelda announces the end of the round. Zelda should allow about twenty-four hours from their final set of answers before announcing the round over unless someone makes a correct guess before then, in which case they may announce it before the guessing time is up

- If the Gorons haven’t uncovered the subject following all twenty questions and their last round of guessing, the round is declared a “Ghost Round”, spelling a win for Zelda. The player may then choose to remain as Zelda for another round, or post to announce the spot open. If they leave the spot open, then the first Goron to respond may become the new Zelda

- If there are not four questions asked within a 48-hour time frame of the time at which Zelda last made an announcement post, then those Gorons who previously asked one of the four questions for the current round may ask another, but please keep in mind that the offer does not extend to guesses, which will remain at one per person for each round

- If the question "does it appear in temples/dungeons" is asked, it is assumed to mean all temples and dungeons unless stated specifically otherwise (e.g. "does it appear only in temples?)
