Sorry I'm late on this one guys.
Had work through Friday followed by a commitment in the evening and being too tired to write one of these out, haha.Nabooru is a female character hailing from the Gerudo tribe, and is a leader figure for them - apart from their king Ganondorf of course, who she openly opposes. She possesses a rather strong personality, determined and strong, as well as being the leader of a female-based community. Apart from being the leader of the tribe, she also happens to be one of the Sages, pertaining to the Spirit Temple in the Desert Colossus being the place we meet her.
Upon meeting Nabooru we find her attempting to acquire the Silver Gauntlets and harness their power, but alas is too big to fit through the opening into the chamber beyond. Agreeing to help, it falls to Young Link to crawl through and make his way to the coveted items. Due to Link being a child at the time she has no issues with him getting the adult-only item, and promises him a great reward in return. When the gauntlets are acquired, however, Link looks down upon a distressing scene as Nabooru slowly sinks into a black hole in the sand conjured by Koume and Kotake. As such, the gauntlets fall into ownership of Link, who can now use them as Adult Link upon return.
Following said return, Adult Link is assaulted by a strong Iron Knuckle. After defeating it, however, it becomes clear that it was actually an enchanted Nabooru, being made to fight against her will by the dark magic of the witches. Sadly for Link, the sisters magic her away again before he can come to her aid, forcing Link to proceed further and battle the boss known as Twinrova. It is following this that we discover Nabooru's identity as a Sage. She also tells of how she regrets not making good on her promise to Link, given how he's turned into a handsome young man...
Later down the timeline, we discover in Wind Waker a stained glass window depicting Nabooru. We also see her again with the other Sages during the end credits.
So what do we think of the strong female character of Nabooru, a leader of an essentially all-female society? Given their history with men and other female characters in OoT, what are your thoughts on Nabooru's love interest with Link? Was the Iron Knuckle mini-boss a nice touch or a boring addition? What do you think of the fact she spent no less than seven years enslaved by dark magic? How do we rate her as a Sage? Would you have liked to have seen her get more screen time?
