Oh really? That's interesting then, I didn't come across that in my readings and never paid much attention to trophies in either Smash Bros game I own, haha. Though I just went and checked out that interesting tidbit and it was said that people are unsure to the validity of that trophy's description.
Which sort of makes sense to me, since he didn't appear in Majora's Mask for example, but ReDeads did, and I don't think it'd be a good justification for their existence that they're a result of his magic if he's not in the game. They could be left there for some reason, but I think an alternate means of creation would be nicer.
DA Edit: Wait, is that description for just OoT or all games with ReDeads?
Well, the exact text is as follows:
Seven years after Ganondorf took control of Hyrule, ReDeads roamed the ruins of castle town, moaning. Link was shocked at the state of the town, and the apparent lack of survivors. He later learned that the townsfolk had evacuated to safety, and the ReDeads were magic animated into hideous humanoid shapes.Since that refers directly to Ocarina of Time, and indeed Hyrule Castle Town, at that, I always took it to mean just Hyrule Castle Town.
I'm sure the redeads in other places, like the Shadow Temple and the Bottom of the Well, are real dead people. And the ones in Majora's Mask definitely are. They are stated as being the deceased Ikana royal dance troupe, which is why they start dancing when you wear the Captain's Hat or the Gibdo or Garo Masks.
