Three years have passed since Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey was released, making it a very long wait for Shin Megami Tensei IV, but nonetheless development is progressing. To help remind fans that the studio is hard at work, Atlus released a trailer that was previously reserved for purchasers of Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers -- as in, it was included on the cartridge. Incoming delivery of Shin Megami Tensei gameplay, ASAP.
Apparently this is also the cut version of the trailer, as Atlus has announced they'll release the full, uncut version later this week -- it is TGS, after all. Seeing as there's plenty of action packed into the trailer we've already got here, I can't wait to see what else Atlus has been holding back.
Shin Megami Tensi IV has yet to even receive a release date for its Japanese release, so it comes as no surprise that the game hasn't been announced for wider release. The sequel to the popular franchise is a 3DS exclusive, which sounds awesome, though of course the 3D won't be coming through in the trailer. Expect more news from Atlus as the Tokyo Game Show gets underway this next weekend.
