Super paper mario

I just didn't really like the Pixls, and I hated how the entire game was in 2D. I also like the story mode in TTYD much better, but that's my opinion.

^This is so true. PM64 and TTYD aren't even COMPARABLE to this game. It seemed like Nintendo was trying to change the game up a little bit, but ended up going too far with it, now they're going back to how it was during TTYD because of the difference in success between Super Paper Mario and TTYD.

Yeah it definitely is the most forgettable PM. I got it 4~ years ago and I've only recently finished it.

As for it being rushed, it's actually interesting, since the game was originally meant to be released for the gamecube. Maybe that's why they decided to change so much? They may have figured they'd just release another for the Wii.

Pixls were really uninteresting outside of Tippi, they had like three sentences of dialogue, but I think that's because they wanted Bowser/Peach/Luigi to replace partners instead. It doesn't make much sense as to why there is one with the hammer, though. Luigi held a pretty big role in SPM, and if you look at the final bosses of each game it makes an interesting thought for what the final boss of this game may be.

It could be worse though, it's not Tales of symphonia 2. At least it didn't create a ruining story and kept some likeliness to the series. I think a better name for SPM would be Paper Luigi.

It was a good game, but it was so different then the others, and made people NOT want to play it.

Well I guess when you think about it, the Storyline for SPM was actually pretty decent. It was just all of the other 'new features' that everyone hated. You never really hear anything about it having a bad storyline.

Despite the game being rated E, one cut-scene may frighten children, and it is when Mimi transforms into a spider-like form.

The villains were cool. Mimi had a quiz show that was hilarious, and Francis is obvious. I mention the storyline since they're an awesome part of the games, they manage to be awesome yet don't take themselves seriously at the same time.

It's a shame because they couldn't put up much of a fight. I really think if SPM was an RPG it'd be my favorite paper mario. It'd have pretty good replayability too since it had a ton of chapters and 2 pits of 100 trials.
