Maybe something like the chefs from previous Paper Mario titles-- Wherein you mix 2 food items and a new one comes out of it-- will return for Stickers.

I wouldn't mind it, personally.

I really do hope that Nintendo doesn't make this game TOO childish-- Sure, any game with Mario in it is going to be more for young'uns, but I agree with you. "Magical Royal Stickers"

Ah, well I am willing to put behind me whatever the names of things are if the gameplay proves to be solid and meets my expectations of the series so far. I'm just not sure with having to buy each move you can use in game. Hopefully there are better selections as you progress in the game.

Needless to say I will be picking this up next Holiday season just to wet my lips for the next big title. Just think, that pretty soon the hype over the upcoming titles and Wii U will be done. Then they will just be like the Wii and the 3DS, holding out for something bigger.

I was thinking the same thing. If you really need to buy your own moves throughout the whole game, imagine how hard boss battles will be.

Maybe you'll be able to get a badge or something that lets you use stickers multiple times. Or, possibly, maybe throughout the game there will be ways to expand your inventory, because from what I saw in the game play footage and the trailer, it seems like there's not even near enough inventory space in the beginning of the game.

With that Scissors sticker though-- It looked like Mario earned it. Maybe he just finished a boss battle and earned it-- and maybe it will stay with you for the rest of the game, like the Star Spirits in the original Paper Mario did. Perhaps there will be certain points such as FP in the older games that allow you to use the "special" sticker whenever you need it.

Also, the fan that we saw in the original 3DS trailers of the game-- That could be another.

So now you can make these stickers too. I wonder how many different things you can make them into. I'm guessing you're not going to have a huge variety, and if anything you'll just be able to make stickers that are already in game.

So, thoughts, opinions? How do you guys feel on the storyline and creating your own stickers?

As you've probably seen in this gameplay video, stickers are made in a shop like area by a female toad around town. As far as variety goes, I actually think making stickers would create an array of options. It really depends on how they're going to treat the whole badge situation. I can see stickers creating different abilities resembling moves like quake hammer, spike shield, and so on.

Stickers will apparently feature things like a Power Smash hammer and all that jazz. Which could be pretty interesting.

There's also the shiny stickers, which apparently do something different. I don't think we ever saw them being used except for during Paperization though.

I read somewhere (I forgot where...) that the only difference between shiny stickers and normal stickers are that shiny stickers are a little more powerful than normal stickers. As far as I know, there's no difference in the overworld.

Don't get me wrong, I realize change is a crucial for the series to progress, but it seems like they're focusing on stickers a bit too much for what would normally be simple mechanics in previous games. Even when recovering the Stars in Paper Mario, the focus wasn't always completely on stars.

I know exactly what you're coming from. This game is basically ALL stickers. As in every little detail revolves around stickers. I feel like it won't get too bad to get used to, but it's definitely going to be different.

I'm going to miss badges...

Yeah, and to add to that, you don't even have that much inventory to store all of them. Also, imagine trying to get through a large area AND fighting a boss. You're going to need a lot of stickers for that, and from what I've seen, it sure doesn't look like there is enough room in your inventory to fit all of them :/
