Some Questions & Theories Regarding Multiplayer

I have a few things I've been wondering about the multiplayer.

First of all, at the together mode first screen, what do those symbols on the top of the screen mean?

Second, are the mystery bonuses perfectly even chances for each player, or are there certain factors that tip the balance? I know those who start and put their DS to sleep mode can't win.

Third, I have a very unlikely theory. I saw a guy on YouTube playing with a 340 v. wep, and he seemed to earn more random drops (not mystery bonus) and those drops seemed better weps than the weps I earn with lower values. This isn't true, right?

Everyone has an equal chance in the Mystery Bonus, but it is how well you play that decides how good the random drops are.
Well that's how I interpret things. :/

One thing, when you say this, do you mean that your drops are based on the value of your own weapon only or the average value of all 6 weapons used?

What's the difference between bonuses everyone gets and personal bonuses? By those that everyone gets, do you mean mystery bonuses?
