Ancient Staff is used for defense or for zoning (getting your opponent to a particular spot were you are in an advantageous position). However they are like Guardian Orbitars, they need SR+3 to even function. So no don't get it.

I have to applaud you for making one work without SR+3 (not being sarcastic).

The reason that it needs SR+3 is that the standard range on the Ancient Staff is even worse than the Viridi Palm, yet that needs SR+3 just to be decent, even though the Viridi Palm is one of the best weapons in the game. As well to this, Ancient Staff just doesn't have the speed to forgive it's horrible standard range, even with Speed +4.

well,I have to agree that the ancient staff has a short shot range... I guess I use my staff a bit differently because I usually face melee guys and I usually be near good items so when people go for it, I pop out of nowhere and
kill them in one shot. I guess those guys online now now why I have orne as my ign. xD

I Never Really Tested This Here WEP Yet I'm Going To Go An Wipe Out Noobs With It Shortly After I Put Post This But To My Own Estimation Of Recent Usage To This WEP From The Past I'd Say Its Strong Enough To Pulverize An Opponent With One Shot Without The Usage Of Energy Charge. A Good WEP To Take Out Hundreds Of Foes.
