^¬^Ok! I gotz part uno of... I dunno how many parts... of our SDOD battle, Blazing Tempest.-_- I'm not explaining the very, VERY beginning of it because thats just a bunch of HOOPLA on how everyone gets to the battlefield... so right onto what I actually wrote...
The battlefield was scorched and cracked spewing out chunks of black rock from time to time. The girl known as Dawn recently found out her true name was STAR standing for Savior.To.All.Residents. She was destined for the final battle about to unfold, her opponent stepped out from the shadows grinning wickedly.
"Well, well, look who showed," the enemy giggled, opening his arms as if expecting a hug.
"You don't have to do this, Blaze," Star wheezed.
"Oh? Is this place to harsh for you?" Blaze asked with fake concern.
"No...We settle the scores here," Star forced the words out.
"Very well."
The two former friends stared into each others eyes with competitive expressions. The steaks were high, either a shadow world or regular Earth, both desperately wanted to win. But deep inside both duelists was a desire to have one of the best duels of their life.
Star stared at a single card. Shooting Quasar Dragon. This copy was given to her by Blaze, it jogged her memory.

"Happy birthday, Dawn!" Blaze cheerfully gave an extremely small present to Star.
"Thank you, Blaze!" She took the pack with delight and carefully unwrapped the box and held the gift up to the sky. The small thing's letters and picture were blurry but Star finally made out 3 words. Shooting Quasar Dragon. Star screeched in utter happiness since she finally got the one card missing from her collection.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Star continually told Blaze. "How can I ever repay you?"
"Haha! well you can start by handing over the leadership of the team... wait... we havent gotten to that part yet? There's no need to!" Blaze said with equal happiness at his friend's satification. Star went on thanking Blaze but immediately froze as she felt an evil presence. Star slowly turned around.
A darkness in the sky sucked in clouds and other objects in its range, both friends became bewildered as it was headed for their direction.
"Blaze! Run!" Star screamed over the now raging wind. She grabbed his arm and dragged him along. He scampered after Star, struggling in her death grip.
"Dawn! This evil darkness is moving at a fast pace! We have to run faster!"
"Uh-ah!" Both friends yelled in unison as the ground below them cracked open. Summer trees lost their leaves becoming dead sticks above the ground. Twisters formed smacking Star and Blaze in circular motions as the Earth split. Eerie purple light bobbed like a calm wave deep within the large abyss, slowly pulling in objects.
By now, Star has released Blaze from her grip so they could both cover more distance.
"Uh!" Blaze pounded his foot on a crack that immediately opened. Star instantaneously grabbed Blaze's hand with both of hers as he fell into the hole.
"Hang in there, Blaze!" Star shouted and used all her power remaining to pull Blaze to the surface. He shook his head after a moment of muttering.
"No, just let go," Blaze calmly replied. "I'm only slowing you down, you have to get away!"
"No! I'm not letting go!"
"Then you leave me no choice." Blaze began to pry away Star's fingers as she desperately tried to hold on.
"Dawn, you've been a great friend and opponent, I'm so glad to have met you." Blaze smiled as he ripped away the last hand.
"BLAZE!"
"Good-bye, Dawn, happy birthday." Blaze fell to the light and quickly took out two cards. Two more copies of Shooting Quasar Dragon. He threw them upwards and let the raging wind carry them to Star.
"We'll meet again, one day," Blaze assured himself as he plunged into the light.
The gaps closed up, the wind stopped, and the darkness faded after Blaze disappeared from existence.
"Blaze..." Star fell to her knees, then onto her arms.
"BLAAAAAAZE!!" She cried to the world, punching the solid pavement and ignoring the immense pain she felt in her knuckles.
"I will avenge you..." Star choked, tears streaming down her already-wet face. Two cards floated down to her hands and Star glanced at them. Two Shooting Quasar Dragon cards. Star knew that Blaze sent them to her as a final gift of their friendship not to mention a horrible birthday. Star clenched her fingers into a fist.
"I won't let you down..."

Star came back to reality already supressing the urge to sob.
"This is how I'm going to repay you, Blaze," Star muttered and slipped on her duel disk.

I honestly think my writing isn't as good as Blaze's but it's decent enough...

I don't understand much StardustDragon911, is Blaze a good guy or a bad guy? :/

And I didn't like the part where I died.
What was wrong with it:
a) I died.
b) I stopped living.

D:< everything, that includes ponies naw, I'm smokin nothin, and the Quasars are for the triple finish in the finale including Shooting Star and Red Nova.. but I'm going to put some weird plot twist card that gets rid of all my monsters and replaces it with Stardust Dragon...just so it ends with the team's mascot.. anywaaaayys... the next part is probably going to be about 2-3 posts long due to the fact that there can only be a specific amount of characters in one post... I had to cut out most of the pony stuff in the first part to actually fit the story...
