And this talk of banning weapons just proves a lack of fusion skill. Magnus and eyetracks are just easy to make, and use. That's it. Essentially the Ikes of KI:U, instead of banning everything, learn to adapt.

Alright, might as well throw in my two cents.. :/ (I may not be EXACTLY accurate BTW, but again, just my two cents.)

Now, I'm a competitive Pokémon battler, and looking through this thread, I notice that some of the arguments made are similar... Some Pokémon are banned for being OP, and also some combinations (ex. Drizzle & Swift Swim). One of the things that causes a ban is:

• When you are forced to carry a Pokémon to counter another certain Pokémon.

Now, this is easily applicable to KI:U... Looking above at DunnoBro's post. If you are forced to use tactics like this, then honestly, I'll agree that they should be banned. ESPECIALLY when these tactics don't always work.

Tbh, people should be able to play the way that they want, so if that means banning certain powers/combinations, then so be it. Just don't ban things only because it "annoys" you...

Games aren't always created balanced, as Rogue Elite said. (Though I don't think MK was full out banned, correct me if I'm wrong...) Again, just my two cents.

Told ya' Dunnobro, by the way, Meta Knight is banned because of the cape glitch.

The "Stay away from that guy" tactic does work. Also, going after someone else is irrelevant if they also use the tactic.

There are so many "omgbroken let's ban this" ideas that it's getting to the point that someone just has to come out and say this: If everything is broken, is anything?

Personally, all these theories, and preventative discussion with obviously ZERO proof for it is ridiculous. Have tournaments, don't ban anything. If you see an influx of certain weapons, strategies, and the like winning/placing too often, THEN take action.

For now, the only discussions about rulesets should be about time limits, life gauge, stages (mostly lava basin/rail temple legal) and stage selection.

We could go on forever why X isn't broken, you guys then move the goal posts, then I bring them back only to have you do it again. But it's all pointless as none of you have proof. The game is still fairly new, and the competitive scene very small.

There are no strategies, weapons, or powers dominating anything besides the positively GARBAGE majority of players online.

Tell me how does making the match longer if the angel is still going to come out, and somebody has trade-off unless you got warp then your dead, and warp can sometimes transport you not that far from who you are going to avoid. Trade- off should banned to protect people from others stupidity last thing we want is someone failing to get a kill with it and dying later on giving the other team the advantage, or when the angel of you team uses it and it wears of before they kill the oppsing teams angel.

Wait it out? How if they are chasing me down, am i supposed to wait for the combo to wear off then attack?

. Really all you people need to give better reasons instead of "waiting it out" "leave the area" until you guys give legitimate ways to survive against these powers and/or strategies it's hard to take you serious.


"powers are meant to be in here for a reason" Tell me then why does yugioh ban certain cards, why does brawl ban meta knight, why does pokemon ban ubers answer that.

Yugioh doesn't only ban cards to help with balance, they also ban cards to push new product and kill old decks to force people to buy new stuff. So that isn't a good example.
And ubers are (other than obvious ubers like legendaries) only made uber after they become a problem for the game. I.e a vast majority of people using certain pokemon/combinations dominating tournaments, and making it pretty much essential to use them in order to win. Only THEN do they get banned, not before they even do anything like here.

Also, if the angel comes out, there's a TON of things which could completely wreck them other than trade-off. And they can still dodge, hide, etc.

Personally, I feel trade-off is like libra/aries. It's a substitute for an actually good weapon which can't kill on it's own. It doesn't make already good weapons much better, as their power boards are usually better allocated to other things.

(Except maybe in the event of weapons built to abuse trade-off... ala ipab/d and effect duration)

Edit: Oh, and MK is no longer banned universally. For all the big tournaments, he's entirely legal. (Although double mk is seriously being considered for a ban in doubles)
