I never really used online much for Mario Kart Wii so I don't really know how it worked. But I prefer how it's done in Mario Kart 7. You're not gaining a buttload of points and will only get a certain amount the whole time. If you really want the 9999 VR Points then you'll need to win a lot.

Heck yeah, I don't even think it's possible to get 9999 VS points over the wi-fi with MK Wii. You wouldn't have to be really good you would have to be perfect.

Yes; it seems to happen at the end of races when two or more people disconnect at the same time. Never been disconnected in the middle of a race.

Unlike MKW, the cap isn't 9999 VR so I don't think so. If I remember right you unlock kart parts around 10000 and 20000 VR so probably around there, though.

As far as I know the cap for VR hasn't been found yet.

I've seen a couple people on gamefaqs get 19000 and posted pics, but they looked totally fake, so who knows where the cap is.

Also, would you count getting the Golden Steering Wheel as completing the game? I'm not sure because, to me, once you complete a game, you get to keep the things you got, no matter what else you do afterwards (obviously besides deleting your save file). In Mario Kart 7, if you get the Golden Steering Wheel, you will eventually lose it if you stop playing in first-person mode (which is dumb in my opinion). Since you lose the Golden Steering Wheel if you don't keep playing in first-person mode, would you really count it as something that makes your game completed or no? I already have it because, I like completing games, but I feel as though if it's something that can go away so easily, why should you keep working for it and why under those certain specifications? Shouldn't something you worked for stay with you?

If you have all of the golden parts, I would consider that 100% complete. Good job if you got all of them because like I said, it probably took you well over 200 hours of gameplay (which is incredible).
