If you could have any new item....

What would it be? A few suggestions of my own are:
Bullet Bill: I know there's already the bullet bill where you transform into one, but what about sort of an "invincible shell" type of item. It acts as a shell, except only moves in a straight line in whatever direction you fire it in. It is invincible until it either hits a wall or goes off a cliff. That means that it goes through every kart it hits and doesn't stop.

Lakitu: Self explanatory. If this item is landed on by the roulette thing, it automatically activates, creating a lakitu that throws a spiny on top of the driver. This can be avoided either by sudden braking or acceleration, and if another kart hits the driver before the lakitu throws the spiny, the lakitu transfers to that kart. Similar to the Thunderbolt, but avoidable in more than one way.

Freezy: This was in Mario Bros, so why not in Mario Kart? This item can either be thrown or dragged behind the kart. If another kart hits from behind, the kart is frozen into place, sliding uncontrollably until it stops, hits a wall (at high speed it will break and you can start driving again) or falls off a cliff. If the freezy is thrown, a small or large area around the site of impact will become icy and slippery. There will be two sizes to these items, small and large.

An item that causes freezing would be great, I don't think there has been an item like that in the Mario Kart series. The idea you have for the Freezy item is good.

Thanks! The other two were more or less just upgrades and variations to items that I thought of, I actually like the Freezy one the best myself.

There should be a new item called Upgrade. What it does it that when it is activated it goes to the bottom-left hand corner, and when you use an item, Upgrade gets used, improving the performance of the item chosen.

Wasn't there already a Boo item in uhh Mario Kart 64 I think? I don't think it worked very well though if I'm remembering right.

Anyway you do have to think about what place gets what. That Freezy should break as soon as it hits a wall, but probably shouldn't be gotten at first place. I really like the idea though!

Yes, there was a Boo item in Mario Kart 64. It made you invisible/invincible and took an item from one of the other racers.

Lakitu is an officially announced racer, so we won't have lakitu as an item. But a Spiny could be an item that works as a Koopa Shell.

I think if they added an item that gives you a bulldozer/tank type ability that just let's you plow through other racers would be cool. It sounds like a Star but the difference is that your not invincible while the item is in effect.

Oh yes, that one. Well, you were only invisible for a very short period of time. Having one that would make you invisible longer would be nice.

Kokoro, you could make use of my Upgrade item. You could use it then activate a Boo. It will keep you invisible for longer.

there should be something called the mixer, the mixer would combine the first item you get, then it combines it with the second item you get.
