Who needs Mario or a year of Luigis, anyways? The game I really want is HarmoKnight, a 2D side-scrolling rhythm game from Pokemon creators Game Freak. This quirky 3DS eShop title lets you jump and punch your way through music, rather like Gaijin Games' Runner series, only to the theme of Pokemon. Must. Have. Now. Expect the game to launch on the eShop on March 28. It may be a huge surprise.
What few details mentioned in the February Nintendo Direct indicate a rather large game in HarmoKnight, maintaining the high standard of quality in Nintendo's eShop. With over 50 levels spread across 8 zones, HarmoKnight almost sounds like a classic Mario game rather than a new rhythm title. I can't wait to try out 7-1 and climb the vine to the zone 8 warp zone. Okay, that's probably not a thing, but what if it was?
Check out the trailer and screenshots just released today for HarmoKnight. It may not be anything mind-blowing in terms of visuals, but it definitely has its own unique style and personality. HarmoKnight will be available exclusively on the 3DS eShop starting March 28.
