What? I have never heard anybody who has flawless execution with the Wiimote. Sure, things like the basic Slash is fine obviously, even Cherry Bombs work most of the time. But the high-level stuff (many optional) are near impossible to use. And no, its not "because I suck." I spent a very long time doing the "practice" move the fully unlock a high-level Gust spell.

And the whole "gamers aren't artists" excuse doesn't work in this case because you are drawing simple shapes and lines, not recreating the Mona Lisa. I can draw a swirly line for a gust of wind in real life, as can anybody, but too frequently for comfort does the game fail to pick up on that.

It's not a game-breaking flaw per say, but a flaw nonetheless, and one that can easily be remedied by a re-release.

That's true. For the beads, which I used in Okami as well and they were pretty EZ Mode as far as weapons go. The Reflector and Sword on the other hand were MUCH harder to use, and in ANY case waggling to replace a basic button function is one of the things that I hate about a lot of Wii games. Motion control in that aspect is just stupid and is shoehorned in and doesn't "enhance" the experience, it can be done with a normal button press rather than timed flails.

I also have played through Okami on PS2 and can say through experience that the button for attack is a MUCH more enjoyable experience that a Twilight Princess-style flail.

Tales of the abyss and the devil survivor games are both great. I'd also look at late life DS games like radiant historia, solartorobo, or Pokemon conquest along side devil survivor 2.

Tales of the Abyss has been on my list for a while tbh. I keep forgetting about it. Pokemon Conquest is another game that I need to pick up. Beat Radiant Historia twice, such an amazing game. What are the devil survivor games about? People surviving from the devil?

That actually sounds pretty interesting. Maybe I'll pick them up.

Excuse me, I was browsing the site using my 3DS, and in a thread were embedded videos.

The reason I'm making this post is, one of the videos appeared to load normally; it showed the title and had the play button, although clicking on it did nothing. When I refreshed the page it showed the normal "Get Flash or HTML5" message, but still.


Does this mean anything at all whatsoever, or is it just some odd mishap that has no significance?

So since it hasn't been talked about yet, anyone else excited for Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask? :3

Some video sites are running HTML 5 compatible video tags, which basically is an easier way to embed videos in web pages. The 3DS browser isn't HTML 5 compatible and doesn't have flash, so these videos will show that message sometimes, as it would for other browsers that aren't up to date, etc. No big deal.

No, no, I was referring to the lack of such a message seeming unusual. If it meant anything that the video appeared normally.
