Platinum just means that during the club year (which starts and ends around July/August in North America, not sure if it's the same everywhere else) you have registered 600 points worth of merchandise. Because you are a dedicated Nintendo fan (obviously, if you've dropped $500+ on their stuff) they are rewarding you with a gift. It doesn't require spending any points, just claiming your reward if you're eligible.

I got the Giant AR card, but I just realized that I could print one out and laminate it...
Still have lots of points though, so I got the Skyward Sword poster.

I finally decided to get the messenger bag. Hopefully it'll get here soon.

Has Club Nintendo had any major overhauls in the last few years to possibly lose some accounts or data? I definitely had an account on there, the last time I remember checking when I bought my Wii (but I've had it way longer than that) but it doesn't fancy that any of the emails I'm trying are correct, even though it HAS to be one of them.

Well gee, I've found the email account and my username and it's still doesn't believe I have an account.

NEVERMIND I was trying to log in to NoA rather than NoE and my stars expired anyway, haha.

Final edit: Anyone know how much you'd have to spend roughly for 7000 points? I've decided I want the Snes Classic Controller more than life.

Just reached Platinum Status for this year. Debating on whether I should register anymore games this year or wait until next to help me get Platinum for next year. xD

You just get one, though if I remember correctly they do let platinum members get the gold gift instead, for those crazy people. Got my pins yesterday!
