Beating Shao Kahn

Try Liu Kang's ducking fireball from far away and jump over Shao Kahn's hammer throw. When close, find a good combo and try to spam that and the ducking fireball on him.

yeah even beginer on ladder is hard spam high/low fireballs when he taunts fo the sper bycicle kick if he is near death try to do ur xray. i did my srory on normal so fighting shao kahn is hard.

Thanks, I finally beat him earlier today with fireball, but still I wonder, how come his X ray move keeps doing so much damage? And is it just me or is the enemies X ray move always more damaging than yours? I just fought Sindel with Nightwold and she took 31 damage while mine only took 25 or something.

well seeing as your a human player and the enemeis are set with a certain play style and difficulty the comp enemies need a upper hand.


while i wish that you could beat shao kahn non cheaply i think its just mainly set that way where say you were a really expert player fighting the comp its just a way to make it challenging.

Yeah I understand it's supposed to be a little challenging, but isn't that what the difficulty setting is for?
If you want more of a challenge you can just turn the setting up instead of Shao Kahn being a super powered pain in the ass at beginner setting, even at beginner it felt like I was playing on the hardest difficulty.
I just feel that for people like me who aren't that good at these types of games it should be easy for us to play on the lower levels until we learn to play the game properly and then eventually go up in difficulty, the way this game is set it's as if NBA 2K12 would have it that even on the easiest setting Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are dropping 70 points a game on you average.

I actually have more trouble with Shang Tsung to be honest, Kahn becomes predictable after a while.

I wouldn't go that far myself. I do tend to have more trouble with Shang Tsung than Goro and Kintaro, but I still have the most trouble with Shao Kahn.

Shao Kahn is easy so long as you're cautious, but Shang Tsung in the tower will usually slap your shit non-stop regardless of how you're playing.
