This Developer Post says we will be shocked to who she really is, hinting it's someone familiar. I took a close look at that second pic, it seems that the horns are a hairstyle instead of actual horns.

Ok Theories. There are many popular theories being put there, saying she's Morrigan, Morrigan's Child, both, or flemeth.

first off, keep in mind that Morrigan's child is optional, so I don't think that it'll be a major character yet...plus she would be too young.

Personally, I think it's flemeth (the game pretty much told you that her death wouldn't be permanent if you chose to kill her and always left it ambiguous)

Either Way, you do realize that with that Sex Appeal she's going to be a Love Interest of some sort?

She's mimicking the pose of the dragon in the first image, so I'd assume she can turn into a dragon.

That points to Flemeth or Morrigan if she's learnt stuff between the games.

No no, it was just possible to give her a rough day. The game hinted strongly that she wasn't gonna die either way.

After the battle Morrigan is gone, it says no one knows where she went but there are reports of a dark haired witch sighting.. and if she has the child then they say that there may have been a child with her. It's in the epilogue.

It's possible that they with use a set ending for DA2.. if you think about it.. Alistar can die in your ending of DA:O but he is in DA:A even if you transfer your save file.

Flemeth's survival, not Morrigan's.

Morrigan said it herself, she won't probably won't die permanently. The codex also says the Warden "apparently" killed her after the battle.

It's nothing absolute, but all this ambiguity is obviously a plan of theirs. Plus they announced she's appearing. So we'll see.

In my opinion, Bioware is going to focus a lot more on Morrigan's future in the series than Flemeth's.

Without a doubt of course.

I remember something about how in the orginal game, if you didnt kill her she was supposed to show up in her dragon form and fight the Arch Demon, not kill it but she was supposed to hurt it before leaving the battle, I think she tore up its wings or something.

It was floating around the forums and wiki for awhile. I think part of it can be hacked/found in the PC version, but its been awhile so I wouldnt swear on it.
