Having 100%, I can help you with the Cortex Power gem. I struggled, too, at first, but when I could visualize the level it was a lot less confusing.
Below is a map of the level: . | . | ./.\ |. .|. .| .\./.\./ . |. .| . .\./ . . | When you get to the first intersection, don't bother going left; there are no boxes. Take the path on the right. When you get to the next intersection, go right again. This is a dead end. Make sure to activate the ! box, then go backwards to the intersection. Now take the path on the left. When you get to the intersection, instead of going forward, go backwards down the path on the left. The next intersection you get to should have the gem route. Take the gem route, but just go to the bridge of boxes with TNTs. These are the only boxes in the gem route, so once you break them, turn around and go backwards down the gem route until you get back to the intersection. Now take the path on the right, then go forwaard at the next intersection. At this point, you just need to keep going forward until you get to the end of the level.
Hope this helps. And as for Slippery Climb, none of the boxes are hidden, it just takes practice. Good luck!

Thanks I'll get the gem in cortex power soon then, and about slippery climb well, I've got the red gem in it yesterday. Now I'm practising to get the key in jaws of darkness and the yellow gem in the lab.
I got the gem in road to nowhere as well yesterday.

I have all the gems now, completed the game in about 5 days. The most annoying gem for me was the one in fumbling in the dark.
First, Corter Power seemed extremely difficult to me, until someone explained me what I had to do.
This game is really awesome, once you're used to the controls that is.
