Planet Wisp...and all it's glory.

Most fans can argue that Sonic Colors is possibly one of the worst Sonic games to ever come out. The voices are strange, the Acts are short, the story is weird, and Eggman is trying to take over the world by stealing the energy source of strange aliens and using it to build a universe-conquering amusement park. Yeah.

However, Sonic Colors does have one savior. Planet Wisp.

Planet Wisp is a perfectly cultivated alien civilization with no pollution, incredible scenery, the true essence of pure beauty. The music is incredibly calming and peaceful, both the world map music and the Act music. And to top it all off, a tear-jerking backstory.

This incredible planet is being held hostage while Eggman kidnaps the happy, peaceful inhabitants who are completely defenseless due to the fact that they have never even seen anything violent, much less had to fight off an army of robots. They were taken from their homeland and carried off to the Asteroid Coaster, a factory in disguise, where they were transformed into heartless, soulless, barely alive Nega Wisps. These Wisps were transformed from peace-loving innocents to horrible, destructive, lifeless monsters that know nothing but violence.

All this is going on elsewhere, while back on Planet Wisp, Eggman has completely destroyed. The water is now poisoned, the entire planet is covered in construction, and the beautiful planet has become a wasteland.

All this destruction, all this devastation, is enough to make even the most hardened gamer shed a tear or two. Because truly, Planet Wisp, is the most beautiful thing in the world, and yet the ugliest in many hidden ways.
