I have had some connection problems recently. My wireless works fine but I cant use a wired connection. I think I might have deleted the local area connection from my network places.

I have got onto computer management and there is a yellow exclamation mark next to ethernet controller, I think this might be the problem because when I look at the properties it says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)" However I cannot reinstall them because I dont have a CD it says it needs.

What should I do? Please help.

The yellow exclamation mark means theres no driver installed for that device. Try going to Windows Update and looking under the hardware section for an updated driver.

Or you can just right click the ethernet controller and select 'update driver software' and see if it will install the driver.
