im an axe player and i usually try to play low in HP

as TheHighlander said

the axe player should not expect a total support from any team ( that what i learnt during my time of playing in JP )

so i keep my HP full if i find ppl are fating me even with full HP

then time for big numbers

if they fate you in high HP

impossible that they wont fate you in low HP

LOL, we came close with what we had. It's just really difficult to handle those tight battles in that situation because while I ma healing and buffing everyone during the fight, I'm not doing any damage. Stopping to raise or throw a revival herb takes a turn away each time, and reduces my ability to take care of my own health. If the team is small, that's just begging for trouble. In a larger team, I could stick to the support role without worrying about myself since I will not always be a target.

To be honest, right at the point where we were wiped out, I had decided to leave them on the ground and finish the fight, but I made that decision too late as we were AoE'd and wiped out. I do think that a trio of good players that know each other well can complete any quest including Vells 9,10 and Apex. Though it would really help if one of them were a mage since Madoras can shield himself against physical attack...

I've done Vell 10 with 2 players (bow and mage) and S rank and Apex with 3 players (bow + 2 mage or 2 bow + mage don't remember) and I believe it was S rank. Vell 10 was with Damien and Apex was with Damien and Adrienne.

I always forget that. I need to remember to equip a hammer before running Apex in future.

Just thought I'd share this. I was in a Seasonal Travel 2 room today with a bunch of mages and an axe. We both needed the kraken so we teamed up on winter. I can hit fairly hard with my fire seeker, boost and tier 4 spells...but my new friend here used soulscratcher and got to red, i kept an Angels favor on him a d he went town. Hit for 8200 lol

I think its just important to realizes when its needed. Yes, an axe does 'high damage' when crit HP.. but you have to look at what goes into it.

Also.. its not like axe damage is poor at max HP ' It's kinda like poker, you have to be able to adapt, depending on who your playing with^^
