I read up somewhere about DMZing your router etc, I've got SPI disabled, which in short means the entire Router is now a DMZ.
If anything I'm having more troubles connecting to Geonet than I did before. In short this issue started three days ago, after weeks of no issues. Even last week there was three of us all playing WKC2 on the one router and none of us had issues. Then out of nowhere, they started. at first it was oddly just me and not my Father. I DCed three times the first day. I read online that power cycling the router would help and having done a lot of tech support on my modem before, it still seems like a silly fix. I tried it.
It sure didn't help me, right after it I started having the issue where I may take two or three attempts to get past the ToS. I DCed maybe five more times the following day. I wanted to buy a slim and my Dad was thinking just maybe it would fix the issue since his was fine. So I did, it almost seemed fine for a few hours before I got hit by a wave of them. He also started getting hit with them after I replaced my old PS3. I got annoyed, did a firmware updated my router, didn't work any better.
I then did the DMZed the Router and suddenly it takes both of us randomly up to five times to pass ToS and the disconnects happen every so often. Sometimes we get lucky now and go hours without a DC, others we get it repeatedly. Generally if you make it past the ToS and don't DC within twenty minutes you are good for a couple of hours.
So taking the 'fixes' seem to have made it worse or, it could just be a coincidence which at this point with Geonet seems a lot more likely. I was wondering if anyone else has fixes they would suggest, have tried and had success or no success with. I'm still quite confused with how these issues came out of left field and selectively only targeted one of us and only about two out of the dozens of disconnects have we ever both disconnected or had issues in close proximity.
