Spear Skills Questions

I bought this game not too long ago with a friend of mine, and all of my online play so far has been just her and I. But since I've reached level 65 and unlocked all the areas, I figured I should start playing with other people. I've heard that many will look down on people using Spears due to their lower damage, so I want to make sure I'm using my skills in the best way possible to prevent this.

Firstly, Threaten versus Uncanny Cry. They have very similar descriptions, so what is the difference between them?

Next, +Full Shield. Does it offer reduction to one physical and one magic attack, or just one attack?

And also, is Shield Splitter a good move to use? Or should I save the AC for my other skills like +Support Field?

Spear isn't made to deal damage, it's made to take damage without dying. For correct spear users, almost nothing in the game can kill them, they can take hits that would one-shot a mage and barely take any damage .

Full shield will protect from only one attack, it's better to use body shield and magical shield separately to protect from both attack type once.

Shield splitter is the only move using your DEF as damage modifier in the game, for now I guess it won't be really strong for you. Note that abilities increasing the DEF like support field and force field will increase it's damage.
