Ar Tonelico Quoga was/is fun.

I couldn't get through the first Neptunia, but liked it well enough to buy Neptunia 2 which is an improvement.

Valkyria Chronicles rocks, as does the PSP version.

Agarest War is a little old fashioned but OK.

Cross Edge....yeah, an OK game system with an assorted mash up of characters does not make a game...

Have a look at the games from NIS America and Atlus, they can usually be relied upon to fill the JRPG niche with something.

For PS3 I'd recommend the following:
Star Ocean: Last Hope
DC Universe Online
FFXIII-2
Dark Souls | Demon Souls
Dragon's Dogma

ForPS One:
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Xenogears

OK funny story. I absolutely love FFX and FF12. I thought I would try FF13 and absolutely hated it. When part 2 came out I had to decide which game I wanted to buy and because I hated number 13 I decided (and am grateful that I did) on KoA Reckoning. I just couldn't get into the Paradigm shift battle system. And it was just way to linear of a storyline for me.

(Get it in the PS Store not Amazon if you can, the Store currently has the game plus all DLC as a bundle for a little over $20, this doesn't yet seem to work on Vita, but looks great on PSP.)

Only part of it, I keep meaning to get the rest of the series.

I have the whole series downloaded onto my external drive but I have not seen them yet. During that time I was on "my favorite animes download them all" mode...and I've only seen like 50% of everything I've downloaded.

I still play once a month
