Anyone +20'd trueking stuff yet? - Page 31

Saw someone today with a TK+20 Staff. Was in a top 10 guild so possibly legit. I'm not going to sweat the details at this point as it's possible from what I've read here. Anyway, had 734 MAG and with seeker skills, was dealing 5,000 damage with Tier 3 spells. Did the strongest earth AOE and did 8,500. Are mages overpowered? Think I'll have to say yes. Weird thing was he kept aiming for the dragons' heads in the FMQ. Was he trying to show off his damage? If so, we get it already. How about breaking the tail or knocking him over and breaking the back since you hit so hard? Almost died because he didn't bother to heal himself even when he was at about 300 HP. Just kept launching attacks. Quit at the logic stone without saying anything. Makes you wonder sometimes.

I'm not saying the amount of damage wasn't legit. I'm saying the guy just focused on damage and didn't even bother to heal. Even with all that damage, dying in an FMQ by a regular dragon doesn't look very impressive. He also pulled an elevator switch when people were obviously coming. Funny that they did the old switch pull before we could get off so back up we went. Let's not forget the quest quit. Never seems like a legit dc when you're at the logic stone. Not someone I'd like to play with again, lol..

Yes, i agree that guy must have suffered certain extent of brain damage.

well i just hate people who just think because they are carrying a TK higher than yours (in my case i play with my Gandivam anyways)means they know better than you. They just are trying to prove all the time that thay do more damage, while a proper player will be supporting and breaking leg/tail...........arrogant that all it is

Yea.... I think it is very important for every players to understand their respective role instead of keep showing off how much damage they can bring. For example, there are some weapons type that can obviously be considered as a "Offensive role" (i.e. Two-hands Axe/sword). On the other hand, there are some weapons that, in my opinion, should have participated more in supporting role (e.g. Rod/Bow).

Taking Rod (magician) as an example, yes i do agree that the magic can bring a lot of destructive damage in a battle, and it is especially good in clearing minor enemies, but the time to cast the magic usually takes longer than any other weapon types. So although it can bring a very impressive figures in damage, but in overall battle, the total output (especially against bosses) usually lower than two-hand axe/sword.

On the other hand, the benefits of the supporting magics/skills of magicians are far exceed of its destructive power as a "Team" point of view.

So in the above point of view, if you are a melee character (incl bow) and have to choose a TK weapon to upgrade, i will suggest two-hands axe or sword instead of spear/bow/one-hand sword (unless you are a hardcore fan). The reason of it is because the most superior point of TK is its impressive attack, so it should be the best fit with the "offensive" weapons type. If you are a magician, than you no need to consider anything as Rod is the only weapon you should think of, but it is very important to get a balance between attacking power and self-defense, otherwise if you are not able to take care of yourself, how can you support the others.

I am playing JAP WKC, those Bow/Magician whose always keep attacking without doing any support are considered selfish and unwelcome.

Although two-hands Axe/sword is considered as a purely "offensive" weapon types, they should regularly use their unique skills to lower the bosses attributes. Keeps attacking without doing any other things (or even recover self hp) or ignore the host's tactics should be considered as an idiot.

My MAG is 700 and I can get around 4300 with tier 3 spells (like dragonfire) if the res is lowered, and I've hit over 5000 with the 1ac spells (like conflagration)... Edit: on second thought, 8500 seems very high and I can't imagine 23 more MAG than mine would make that big a difference.

I did 7500-8000 myself with 2 AC AOE spell and less than 700Mag, so i guess its legit.
But what kind of hero´s are they? Do they think we look up to them if they can deal the most damage?

I don´t look how much damage people do! I look if we can get breakdrops (dragon back) toghether, how fast they revive, if harder foes are debufft, bows AND mages support with mana....
The damage of a single player is nothing against good teamwork

There is a quality that many people seem to ignore - survivability. How survivable is a player? Can they get through a quest with minimal fatality? I mean every urgent Heal3/4 that a support player has to use, every raise they case takes time. If I take less attention from the support players, they can pay more attention to others on the battlefield. That helps everyone. It also makes you a valuable support player because you may be one of the few standing after a big attack, and so you can bring the party back.

That's one of the things I love about my character. If I balance things right, she has a RES not far off 300, a DEF between 860 and 900 and an AGI in the 150-180 range, as well as having that shield and the ability to block thanks to shield prowess. So, she rarely takes large magic damage, when she is attacked physically she dodges a *lot* of attacks, blocks a bunch of the remainder and the high DEF soaks up what does get through. Against anything except the one shot kill bosses, she can hang in the fight far longer without any support than any other class except spear. Since she's SS, she has better damage potential than Spear, and nearly the same survivability. Plus that DEF/RES comes with only moderate encumbrance, so she can chain her 10MP attacks. I keep party support divine magic on my command bar as well as the ATK/DEF debuffs in case there is no Axe.

I have come to really value the survivability of KOSMOS. just the other day we were running APEX and Madoras used his major physical attack twice back to back, the first one took out the favors and the second one took out 4 of the party before they could favor. KOSMOS was still standing, and was able to use items and divine skills to get the party going again. That's valuable on the quests with Bosses that can one shot kill a lot of players.

When was it when guilds hit Level 8 and the VOT was available (if you were lucky enough)? To me it seems like it is over four months now and we only had it once so far. Finishing the True King staff is one of the last things I want to achieve before I take my hat and say Farewell to the Game.

But as it looks now, it might happen that I leave it before because I get slowly very tired of checking the Geoforge daily to see there are no vessels at all or maybe the other two but not the Vessel of Truth. But I also know, as soon as I stop checking daily, I can forget about the VOT because I'd need to be ultra lucky to get it on the one or two days per week where I am still playing.

I'd love to know the coded chance for it to appear. Must be below the chance to obtain a Vell code, at least it feels this way. I hoped after reaching Top 10 chances will be a tad better because we now have more items in the Geoforge but the few items more didn't raise the chance significantly lol.
