Nothing still for ktbs

I was reflecting why this Geoforge system gets so much under my skin and makes me complain so often about it. I don’t know how it is for others but my main reason to bitch about the Geoforge system is that I feel somehow betrayed/left out. Sounds childish, it’s a Game and I am no teenager anymore but let me explain why I feel this way.

I have spent almost 2.000 hours with the Game and have reached everything the Game has to offer (as far as I wanted to achieve it). I had to show a lot of patience till I had everything together because it wasn’t easy. Enhancing the weapons and armour to +20 wasn’t easy after the Patch 1.01 came but I did it. Enhancing the new weapons and armours after the last batch of quest updates was a nightmare because it took ages to get all the rare items together. I think alone for my four parts of Soleil, I had to gather ~ 100 squirming husks which took weeks of grinding FMQ Ruins. To play the damn Rival mission to get the Veda staff to + 20 wasn’t funny either. But so far, all of this happened through my own “Power” and it depended on me and nobody else.

But now, everything is out of my Power and I have to rely to a system that works with very little chances to obtain what you are looking for. So it is no longer a question of how much I am willing to play but it is all luck now and as it seems, I am not that lucky. Situation is surely better if you are in a Top 10 guild but I have no ambitions to join one just to get Gems Level 9 or to buy the Guild armours so as it looks now, I won't see the edge of the Game although I spent so much time with it. And that is exactly why I am angry about it.

i see the rarity of pisces/virgo/vessels as a good thing for the longevity of the game. if they were easier to obtain through regular questing or grinding, a lot of people would have them at +20 and would have stopped playing due to boredom. it's good to always have something that needs to be done

But gambling/luck/random kinda sucks on another level...
For instance, those that joined the top 2 guilds, haven't seen vessel of Truth, despite having vortually every other perk, lol. What kind of reward is that?

As TomB pointed out, you can either be a hard worker (lol, workinig in a game... Sounds like chinese farming) in a game or you can be a lucky player (like farming for codes...) and get it all.

Most people just complain for the sake of complaining though - glass half full, half empty thing, I suppose.

Now it is 7 weeks for GER Dark Knights without seeing the Vessel of Truth once. \ o /

So, people leave a game because they can't easily get the rarest item in the game? Why did they bother playing at all if they were going to leave because they couldn't just blink a TK weapon into existence? I'm sorry, i just don't get this mind-set at all. If you know that something is the rarest item in the game, then you know that it's either going to take a long time to get, or you may simply never get it. If you've played an RPG before you have to know that. So why get so upset about it in practice?
