	Log in to remove this sponsored message I noticed that there are no raw GR26 staffs. For higher GR mages, what do you think of the elemental staffs? 	What do you mean by raw? Like no element is assigned to it? As far as the binding post goes, only one would be the Greendrake staff, it one of the new weapons that came with that Cat power quest. That staff when +6 becomes gr26 equivalent. 	There are rumors about if you have a staff based in fire elemental your fire spells will be better than a glitter staff that has more magic/INT, I didn´t try it myself but I guess most people don t go for it either so....not prove I guess. Currently the best RAW power staff as you call is glitter no staff surpass INT/MAG so far altho people are using the new staves to normal quests for "fashion" doesn´t mean they have better stats is just they are bored to look the same or something.

	the greendrake staff has the highest magic stat so far. at +15 it has more than the glittering wand,though the glittering wand gives a little more mp. the loki rod and the staff of rudra are worthwhile in my opinion. at +15 they have higher magic stats than the glittering wand, but a little less than the greendrake, and do slightly more damage to elemental mobs. wkc2: Dave g30 Mage Guild: B.O.T.G.

	actually the Staff of Rudra and Loki's Rod's 368 MAG beat the Glittering's 362 MAG by 6, all three 78 mp 19 INT at 15. but the Greendrake tops them all at 375 MAG +58 Mp 17 INT at 15. so you've got the best right now if you are using the drake. lol posted same time sxybadazz and just to clear up the rumor, +6 Fire on the staff only helps with the melee hitting not in casting Fire spells. ------------------- WKC1: Lunarasa GR15 Spear/Bow/SS WKC1: Krastarr GR12 SS/LS WKC2: Solanaria GR28 Spear/Staff/Divine/Elem/Axe WKC2: Blud GR15 Elemental/Staff

	I agree with IC, i demonstrated to a friend the other day in caverns free lode, i was doing the exact same dame to fire, ice, wind dragons as i was to earth dragons, with my +7 Rudra. all top end staff are pretty much on par, with drake just edging, i think LvL5 have done that to get people out and about playing other areas. The final calculation would be to ask yourself Damage or Heal? you have to sacrifice one, will it be INT or SPR? then you will have your best staff ------------------- PSN: xFODDERx I WANT A FFXIVARR PS3 Alpha test

	I'd go the loki rod way. Mainly cause u will need it to eventually bind the true king staff.

	Well I must thank you for the info I thought glitter was still the best INT/MAG atm since Yulie is my mage and she still got a UNID staff was thinking if buy glitter or get another so I will aim to Greendrake then THanks guys ^^. Edit: Dec 14, 11 12:19pm

That's nice to know. I made all of them. lol I never tested them though, seeing as how I don't want to play mage anymore.

I wasnt comparing a +7 to a +15, that is just ridiculous lol I was comparing my +7 rudra to other +7 GR26 staffs, ie Glittering Staff. The only time the Elemental effect on a weapon kicks in is when a weapon is used for melee not magic same as the atk. the only thing that effects spells are Mag, Int and Spr, depending on what spell is been used. The reason most mage use staff over SS is that the staff skill tree has better perks for elemental damage. apart from that weapon wise for a mage daggers and staffs are on par also. This is why i laugh when people change their Staffs for differant mobs, for example my now +13 Rudra does the exact same damage to a wraith as my +13 lokis rod. However if i was to try pummel a wraith the Loki would wipe the floor over my identical Rudra! Dont blame me its in the programming. However when it comes to melee weapons like axe and LS then yes its good to have 5 types 4 elemental and 1 raw, then their is a MASSIVE differance ------------------- PSN: xFODDERx I WANT A FFXIVARR PS3 Alpha test
