1. The disc contains the first and the second WKC. I am wondering if it is actual necessary or advisable to start the whole thing right from the beginning by creating an avatar in the first game and finish the first and the second game with it. The reason for me wondering is that - as I am more interested in playing online - startet with the second game today and noticed that I am already at Lv. 35.
2. I am able to allocate 200 Skill points. As I am quite a perfectionist this makes me worry to ruin my char for the future by choosing the wrong skills. Therefore my questions to this case:
a) I already noticed that the dummy allows me to reallocate my skills points without any costs or punishment. Will this be possible during the whole game - even when I finished the plot and play online?
b) Is it necessary or advisable to specialize in one weapon tree (One hand, two hand, ...)? Or is it even better to user more than one weapon type to be more versatile? What is about ou guys? One weapon? More weapons?
3. I assume, that I should finish the plot first before I start to play online. Am I right? Are there even some rewards for finishing the plot first (Weapons? Armors?)?
4. Last question: Are there actually any "best" weapons or at least any weapons types that are popular online because they are a bit better than others?
Greetings,
Greg
1. If you don't care much for the story, you can start at LV 35, but you won't be able to reset your skillpoints, at higher levels than that.
2a) You cannot reskill there, once you've reached LV 36. But later ingame (at GR 20 and LV 80), you can use reincarnation:
http://whiteknightchronicles.neoseeker.com/wiki/Reincarnation_%28WKC_2%292b) You could try skilltrees with your single player characters during story mode, before deciding on your avatar. See here for more infos:
http://whiteknightchronicles.neoseeker.com/wiki/Combat_Systemhttp://whiteknightchronicles.neoseeker.com/wiki/Party_SetupFocus is better than being spread out, but each skilltree has some useless skills, so you don't need 100% in one, to be good at it. On the other hand there's a trophy for having 100% in all 8 (through reincarnation). It is possible to master two skilltrees and a third one to 50% during first playtrhough, so you may use two different skillsets and divine magic. If you want to be a mage however, you should focus on staff, divine and elemental magic.
3. You don't gain much by finishing the story itself, but the further you are, the more bounties and errands with powerful rewards unlock, as well as your own knight.
4. Each skillset fills a different role, that's why opinions on them very. The ones with the most positive opinions are: Axe (DPS), Bow (support) and mage (combination of staff/elemental and divine magic; good for support and ranged DPS). The first two are pretty straight forward, while mage is more complicated to play efficiently, so i would not recommend, unless you test it with an NPC and like it.
