it's not exactly like consumers can strike, or have a medium to discuss something like a boycott, and I hardly feel it just to be charged £40 for 2 different games, one of which will have a gameplay value of 3-4 hours (e.g. need for speed the run) Vs one with 20-30+ (wipeout HD(bad example as it's £15)) just for one run though of the main campaign.

it's not justified, but there's no alternative to it to show producers?(people who make these kind of decisions) that there not doing their job properly

The alternative is not to purchase it and not to steal it.

VeGiTAX2 - Sure, I don't pirate games myself but I understand people being on the fence doing so. "Looks interesting but I hear some people complaining about such and such". Sometimes it falls down to trying it out for yourself. It's like food, sometimes you just got to give it a shot to see if you, personally, like it or not. I've seen people defending games that get poor reviews and have a lot of issues in general.

Yes, piracy "can" and probably "does" inflict damage on sales but 1) Not everyone that pirates does it to harm the industry or because they don't want to pay for it. In fact most people pirate because there are no demos available, they try out the game and if they like it they will buy it and support the dev/publisher.

Sure there was a Bulletstorm demo but I can't remember there being a PC version since I had to download the 360 version

2) PC gamers unlike the console gamers are sore about not being fully supported...that is why most PC versions don't do so well against their console counterparts, it's not about superiority within the component, social, portability or accessibility department...it's the fact that devs/publishers think that porting the game over from the console will suffice.

In fact going back to Bulletstorm...I bought it for PC, I have it installed but I have not played it...not because it is a bad game but because I haven't had time or other games have my attention at the moment

They held it back until after the release of the game, after finding out all the limitations and locks on Bulletstorm many speculated it was to hide the poor handling of the port by Epic as it would have blown up in their face even more had it come out before the launch.
