I did this correctly, right?

Fusion of Typhlosion and Sceptile, retyped to water using Seaking, Seadra, and Dewgong.

Ponyta and leafeon fusion

Since it's my finals week, I'm extending this until Thursday or Friday. Should give you some extra time to make a marvelous entry, right? Right? Yes.

Honestly I don't think I have the time to get a sprite in for this one, I'll aim for next one. Forgot about a bunch of homework over march break. Happy St. Patty's day to all my Irish kin and the like btw

Should be noted that only the retyped sprite is being graded, the fusion was just requested for reference.

[B-] The first problem with this is that most Pokemon sprites look at an angle, while this is looking straight to the side. I can let looking at the viewer slide, but looking to the side is a bit unnatural when the opponent is going to be forward. Second, the shading is flat for such a round body. Jigglypuff and Voltorb are good references for the curve of the shading.

[A-] Ugh, if it weren't for the tail, I'd be in love with this sprite. The lack of a darker outline in certain parts of the tail fin are a problem, and there's a few lighter dots on the underside of the tail that are annoying once you see them. On the other hand, I love what you did with the head. The fin is fused well, the spikes are a nice touch, and overall it just looks nice. For some reason, the lower body on the fusion annoys me, but it looks fine on the retype. Maybe there's a marine mammal it's reminding me of, or the blue on both the upper and lower body helps tie things together. Oh, also, there's still a few pixels of green along the outline.

[B+] Pretty simple sprite. There's a bit more Ponyta than Leafeon, simply due to body shape, in the fusion. Overall it's a fine retype, but it takes no risks. Also, while it's not that much of a problem, the outline of the ear lines up a bit too well with the outline of the tail. Moving one or the other just a few pixels down or to the side can help the overlapping feeling.
