Thanks to the various Mod's of the Pokemon Diamond/White Forum and with the help of previous judges, the White Sprite Contest, previously the Diamond Sprite Contest, has been a great success, with over 100 rounds and rapidly approaching 200! This contest is a place for spriters and fusers to come so they can test their skill against others. They must follow the guidelines of the current theme and obey the rules set by the contest. Abiding by the rules is crucial for your sprite to even be judged, so make sure you don't break any of them. Remember, this contest is for experienced spriters, so newbies to spriting may have a tough time keeping up. ------ Abide by the Forum Rules and Sitewide Rules. Membrating, Spamming, Flaming, Advertising, etc, can all result in a ban from the contest and depending on the circumstances, possibly the forum. This thread is not a gallery! Do not post any sprites in here unless it is your entry for the round! Posting other sprites can get you in trouble if done repeatedly, because it is basically spam. If you are looking for a gallery, then you can post your sprites in the Spriter's Showcase in the General Pokemon forum. Do not plagiarise or steal someone else's sprite and enter it as your own. Stealing includes taking someone else's sprite and editing it. You will get caught, and will be punished. You can only enter one sprite per round unless specificly told that you can enter more. Your first sprite will be accepted, entering another sprite after could cause you to get disqualified. You may edit the post which contains your sprite but you may not change the sprite in any way. We trust you enough to abide by this. Please be patient when waiting for judging, the judges are sometimes busy. Continually nagging or flaming judges will result in a punishment. You may ask for Comments and Critique (C+C) but please do so in the post which contains your sprite. Please be considerate of whether or not the spriter asks for C+C. If the spriter specifically asks for no C+C, then don't give it. If they don't say one way or the other, you are free to give it, but please keep criticism light and positive. Nobody likes getting their sprite ripped apart by someone other than the judge. This contest is for fun, don't be too serious, have fun. ------ Pheonyx 4EverSeaMusic ------ NEW THEME: Make one of the starter Pokemon an Ice or Dark type. They can also be dual (Ice/Dark). They can also keep one of their original typing, but have to have Ice or Dark as one of their new ones (for example: Venusar can become a Grass/Ice, or Dark/Poison type). It's your choice. You can choose any starter from the five generations, at any stage. DEADLINE: October12. JUDGE: We'll se. Probably Pheonyx... ------ At any point in time if you are caught breaking the rules, then you will be issued a suspension or ban. While there is no set punishment for each instance of rule breaking, first offenders typically receive a several round suspension, and repeat offenders may be banned permanently. 	With approval from Disillusioned, the previously Pokemon Diamond Spriting Competition has found a new home in the White forum! Diamond was getting pretty old and abandoned, so hopefully our new home here will help boost activity. To celebrate, the front page will be updated with new graphics and the like, just as soon as I get around to it. Also, I have a few extra announcements: First off, the Hall of Fame is getting pretty long. Our last one had two whole pages dedicated to it, and by estimate in about 20 more rounds it would need a third page. So, I've decided to go one of two routes. We can either go the way of the Black Spriting Competition, and instead of listing each round with its winner, just post every sprite that wins an A+, A, or A-. The second option is to keep the hall of fame the same format, and to just link to a blog post which I (or the current head judge should I ever leave) keep updated. Secondly, due to a lack of entries, I'm switching the theme this round to open. Judging will be postponed until the 30th. -------------------

	Oooh, shiny new thread! I guess I may as well enter this: May as well get it some honor, this sprite took me longer to make then any of my others, taking up over a day of my free time. I really need a new hobby...... EDIT: Everyone, I have realized that I did not need the numbers in my name, so I got rid of them. Please change any data involving me in any way. 	Chaos Pokemon Used: Dragonite, Ponyta, Marowak, Tentacruel, Giratina, Mewtwo, Alakazam, Reshiram, the 5th Gen Knighte-Bug Thing, Gengar, Charizard, Dewgong, Scratch You can comment if you like... It has some kind of "Black Hole" on its' stomach, or you can call it a different dimension from which true evil comes; that's what the tentacles are representing - another being/creature It may look a little messy, but that was the point - it feeds on energy from other creatures, so that's why it looks like it's been made by such random body parts : ) It holds an Ankh that's made of its' bones... ------------------- code

	I thought I'd enter this, which I made for the Realms of Black tournament, but have never had properly judged: Thundhoul, the thunder cloud Pokémon. Ghost/electric type. Thundhoul ride thunderstorms, using the lightning to find souls to steal. 	May as well continue this theme. Made it for Realms of Black, but dropped it when I couldn't finish the rest of the sprites. A new water type ant Pokemon. -------------------

Since Black and White are out, we have to stick to 2-3 shades per color. My eyes tell me 4 shades on the purple, even though it's only 3.
