I really hope it does, but it seems to me that the series are comming to an end and we might not see 7th gen.

Look around online there is a rumor going around from people connected to game freak about ruby sapphire ds remake for 3ds as the first pokemon entry to the 3ds system

i think it will be nice if the start all over again, with a new trainer. when they reach 600new pokemon their they could make 1 big epic game with 1200+ pokemon in them, by then it will be possible i guess with the future tech.
by doing this the can create better new pokemon without looking at the older ones, make more room for story , character modifications and the pokemons itself. gen 11 wil be 1200+ pokemon with an epic battle between ash en the new ash a like new trainer, with the ultimate showdown between both generations (gen1-5 vs gen6-10), maybe with new evo's and pokemon from gen 11 to make it look more like 1compleet game.
